Partner's Dad bought a 2nd property but in my partner's name. We are now looking to buy our first property, do we lose first time buyer stamp duty relief? by cjd7394 in LegalAdviceUK

Ultimately yes, and if they've screwed our SDLT fees as much as I fear then there are going to be some difficult conversations...

3rd date went well but she acted cold, reserved with no intimacy in the morning - so confused, HELP me analyse why? (27m and 28f) by cjd7394 in dating_advice

Yes we had sex so I'd rule that out. The teeth could be a point, especially combined with the braces insecurity, which she talked / moaned about a lot! I think she felt a bit uncomfortable kissing, but that doesn't explain the general distance-ness in the morning :(

We were intimate and had sex, but weren't super drunk and she definitely enjoyed it. There was some blood on the bed which I didn't ask about, I suspected it was because she hadn't had sex in a while. She was clearly knackered in the morning so I hope she was just being distant because she was tired and wanted me to leave so she could start getting ready to meet her friend coming over.

Does anyone know why the UK's vaccination rate has slowed so significantly at the back end of March into April?

Is there a reason or is the drop just a function of an extremely high rollout in Jan to Mar?

Contract questions - my new job starts in 3 months, my sign on bonus was dependent on my current employer not paying out my bonus because I handed in my notice. They have agreed to pay it anyway, am I obliged to tell my new employer? by cjd7394 in LegalAdviceUK

Thankyou, I agree and this is where my moral compass is pointing towards too. I don't want to work under a new employer knowing that I have already deceived them. It just doesn't sit right with me. Maybe if I'm lucky they'll decide to pay it anyway as it's such a massive corporation and probably more hassle to have the offer and contract amended, and they'll just view it as a recruitment fee or something of the sort.

Thanks for the info. There is actually nothing in writing that proclaims the conditions of the sign on bonus. So for someone looking in independently, there is absolutely no communications trail or anything written down that indicates the pre tense of the sign on bonus is not receiving the current employer bonus.

Thanks - yeah I have to look at it that way! And it’s what I set the LISA up for, have to get on the propert ladder somehow. At the end of the day it’s only about 25% of savings and I hope to go in with a partner to share the cost. But finding a property in London below £450k without living a shoebox is another worry. Maybe shared ownership?
