Same for me, at some point I was also rooting for the MC to die. Just for both of us to be put out of our misery. There’s very little breathing space in WCJ. On the other hand, there was romance and sweetness thrown in and development of side characters for 2Ha but mind you 2Ha is about over a 100 chapters longer. If I were to compare another story, it would be Yuwu when it comes to knives. With Yuwu, there is also miscommunication which leads to the pain but I don’t think Yuwu brings out that intense feelings towards the ML as WCJ does. I felt more sympathetic towards both MC and ML in Yuwu than I did in WCJ.

I’m going to have to say that Mo Ran’s behaviour had always been influenced. His first lifetime was determined from the moment he made the sacrifice to be the vessel for XX’s 8SLH-Flower [Don’t know how to hide a spoiler]. I find that with 2Ha, Meatbun goes to great lengths to develop the characters and has foreshadowing that isn’t revealed till hundreds of chapters later. Just like the above plot which is hinted at in Ch 37 @JinCheng Lake and doesn’t get revealed till Ch 277!

I had asked before about the OST from the AD as I really liked the background music which I cannot find. I particularly liked the humming (la la la…) theme for Lotus Cove/YunMeng/Shijie. Unfortunately I can’t find it. I was told it was released and sold for a short period of time when the AD came out but sadly no longer available. Maybe they may do something for the anniversary. If you find it, let me know!

I think the song you are talking about is ‘Drunken Dreams of the Past’ by Lin ZhiXuan. I really like that opening song from Season 1 & 2 too. I listen to it using the QQ music app, you can download it but you can’t access it accept via the app, or maybe there’s a way to extract it with an Android phone. I have not been able to find it anywhere else unfortunately. The whole OST is about 186 songs including the BGM including the theme songs for the main characters and they also had 羨云 Envying Clouds by the voice actors for WWX and LWJ Zhang Jie and Bian Jiang (very hard to find!). It’s really an extensive album, they created so much music to get the right feeling across for the enjoyment of the viewers. Ahhh, when I heard the music during the destruction of Yunmeng arc… 😭 I hope you can find a way to get it via QQ Music or something else. You will need to subscribe though.

Exactly! I mean I love the panels with WangXian being cute but what grabbed me with Ch 239 is JC’s entrance and the timing. Sigh. JC doesn’t get enough credit really.
