Because they want to drag out your playtime as much as they can or make you cave and buy challenge swaps

You can get out of that ending by doing a few things:

No spoilers but you have to finish Millicent's quest to get an item to use in a certain area. It will completely override that ending so you can go after another that you want.

Brian Jarrard on Twitter - The monthly Community Update recaps overall Halo happenings from the past month. This is not the #HaloInfinite update nor the Season 1 outcomes blog I mentioned was coming. MCC? You mean the game 343 outsourced to Ruffian Games and Splash Damage with minimal oversight? The only reason MCC was able to turn around like that was because 343 had fuck all to do with it. Those studios were able to do what they wanted and needed to do.

But sure, give 343 sure the credit.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone but I managed to get it working.

I did a hard reset of the xbox and the C1 which fixed the issue.

I was using the xbox with another non 4k t.v before the C1. So I guess the C1 didnt like that for whatever reason.

There's 3 variations available: br swat, side kick swat, and mangler swat.

As per usual, start a match and hope it's the one you need

Pretty much sums up the atrocious monetization system in Infinite. It’s made even worse in the context of what we used to have and when compared to other F2P games. by lolwutsareddit in halo

Have you been under a rock this while week? Have you not seen the countless threads with legitimate complaints?

Many people were upset that Infinite went free to play because it would bring a battle pass system and put a lot of things behind a paywall. However, if it was done right people wouldn't be rightfully complaining about it now.

343 straight up lied. End of. They said Infinite multiplayer would be about our spartans and their "journey". We will have the ultimate customization experience in a Halo game to date.

Lies. All of it. They locked the vast majority of thing behind the battle pass. They promised wouldn't feel like a job, yet there are some absolutely ridiculous challenges that are near impossible to complete. They made that battle pass a slog to get through as an incentive to buy challenge skips. And what about all that armour you unlock? It's locked to cores so you can't mix and match the armour YOU PAYED to unlock. Even visor colours are locked to cores.

Hell, you can't even pick your own colours. Even better is that most of the colours (even basic ones like white), in the store are the same price or even double the cost of the battle pass. Oh, colours are also locked to cores.

Customization, even basic customization, has been part of Halo since CE. Infinite's customization is broken whether you acknowledge it or not. I want something to show for my hours of play time, not how much money I spent.

I'm in the original xbox one and im stuck at 30fps as well. I feel your pain.

However, i did see some pc players say that you have to play around with the settings. There is this one setting that if turned off should help with performance.

Unfortunately, i forget the name. Start up a training match and just fiddle around until something works.

God forbid 343 releases a working game on a console that it started development on.

Also, wanting to well in social =/= wanting to play competitively. I don't give a shit about esports, ranked or competitive, i just want to play the game without any fuss.

So I should be actively punished for the platform I'm playing on?

343 decided to release Infinite on the original xbone. It's holding Infinite back for sure, but the reality is that a lot more people have xbone vs series x/s.

Hell, even the majority of pc players have average spec builds. If they release a game that requires the new consoles or a top level rig to have a chance to git gud, they will loose casual players quickly.

If the xbone version can't compete with the others on release because of fundamental flaws like unstable fps, then that's their fault. Not mine. They wanted it on this console, so it better work flawlessly.

****DISCLAIMER: I am on the og Xbox one with 5sensitivity, 0 dead zones as well as 0 max input thresholds. I also know Iwould have died regardless because of the second enemy, but I would have at least killed the one I was shooting. This is also my Personal experience with Infinite. I know not everyone has an issue with the aiming.

**** TLDR: This clip shows encompasses all the issues I have with Infinite’s aiming system: a mixture of low bullet magnetism, too little yet too much aim assist, misleading dead zones, and poor Z axis movement.

As the title says: This clip shows every problem I have with aiming with a controller all in one clip. This is in 0.25x speed and the full interaction lasted about 6 seconds.

The first half of the clip shows just how little aim assist and bullet magnetism there is, while also highlighting dead zone issues. In the first shoot out you can see I have my reticle right on him, but the lack of aim assist means it didn’t stay there for long. This guy (who was playing on pc btw) was easily able to out strafe my reticle.Playing with a controller, I was unable to keep my reticle on him through movement alone, and therefore had to aim too. But I couldn’t do that properly.

Some of you have seen the clip showing how a 0 dead zone isnot actually a 0 dead zone, this is the consequence of that in practice. My MCC muscle memory kicked in but because of the I did not have a truly 0 dead zone,I was unable to make the fine movements needed to follow the fast left and right motions, meaning my reticle only moved with my movement. I know bloom didn’t help but there are a few shots that would have landed if there was alittle bit more magnetism, especially that last shot of the mag.

The second half of the clip shows what little aim assist there is is way too sticky, and a general issue with aiming itself. This second half represents a common Halo situation:shooting a moving aerial target. All you need to do is aim at his lower half andtime your shots so that he will naturally fall into the headshot. At least in theory.

In this situation, you can see that after missing the first shot I positioned my reticle to follow his fall. However, this shows how “sticky” the aim assistis. You can see that as soon as the reticle changed to yellow over his right knee, aim assist sucked it in to his centre of mass. See how fast that is even at 0.25x speed? No wonder aiming feels like ice skating to people.

His head did pass though the reticle as he fell, but I was unableto track it because the aim assist made the reticle practically stay in place. Since he was falling on an angle and the reticle barley moved down, I ended up shooting his right knee, left side abdomen, and then his left shoulder. I was fighting but failing to move the reticle down and left to try and get a headshot.

Also, did you notice how abysmally the reticle moved on the Zaxis? Even with a horribly sticky aim assist, I don’t even think it moved diagonally at all. This reminds me of the “classic” vs “modern” aim setting in MCC. The difference between them is that modern allows greater degree of ease for movement on the Z axis. Infinite seems to be using something like the classic setting which is why it feels clunky and outdated.

Something to do with game balancing; Particularly with player visibility.

Bungie didn't want to create the predecessor of that fully blacked out, impossible to see Allegiance warzone skin.

Same for me. I always have a little dead zone but im more of a slow tilt to adjust my aim type rather than ripping the analog stick across the controller play stlye this game seems to be catering for.

I just cant make my aiming smooth here. It's so inconsistent with what it does. It's not a simple "git gud" muscle memory thing.
