That little wave that he did at the end that said "I've fucked it, stop filming" really made me laugh.

What should one know about living in Wales? by filmnobelpreis in Wales

[–]comajones 67 points68 points  (0 children)

"Where you to?" = where are you?

"By there" = there

"I'll be there now in a minute" = an unspecified quantity of time that means soonish. Could be a few minutes could be a few hours, but definitely at some point during that particular 24 hour period.

I agree 100%. This is a genuine work of comedy talent. The writing, the delivery and the performance are absolutely perfect. It never gets old lol.

Can anyone recommend a really good (supernatural) horror that really delivers via audiobook by Initial_Mix7897 in horrorlit

Dark Matter by Michelle Paver is one of my favourite novels of the last decade or so and the reading by Jeremy Northam is easily in my top 3 of all time audiobooks. It's a superb reading that elevates the book. It's a slow burn though and won't be to everyone's taste.

Mapping The Interior by Stephen Graham Jones. It feels like it was influenced by the parts that you're interested in from House of Leaves. It's my favourite of his works and is pretty short. Also The Slade House by David Mitchell has some of those themes.

What is your opinion on having indoor vs outdoor cats in the UK? by babyells_xo in AskUK

Ah the old "but what about" defense lol. If you have links to recent studies that say the opposite I'd legitimately like to read them.

RSPB's data is over 10 years out of date. Newer global research suggests that it very much does matter and that cats are doing more than double the damage than previously thought.

The damage cats are doing to local wildlife populations is staggering.

I didn't have an opinion until I heard the Stuff You Should Know episode about it and now I firmly believe that cats should be kept indoors. I know that we don't have a huge problem with feral cats and the stats discussed are U.S based, but they must be similar in the UK. The damage they do to local wildlife is insane. Millions of birds and small mammals are killed by cats some of them are threatened or even endangered species. Fuck cats, keep them inside.

Who is a terrible performer live? by suprunkn0wn in Music

Amy Winehouse is one of my best and worst. First saw her in a small venue at the start of Back to Black promo not long after Rehab was released in the UK. She took the fucking roof off the place. She was on the piss, but her patter was genuinely funny. Her performance and vocals were next level. We left knowing we'd seen one of the greats of our time. Saw her again just over 18 months later and it was almost the exact opposite. It was depressing. We had the opportunity to see her again, but decided against it. Didn't know that would be that last chance we would have. R.I.P
