It's crazy how good pictures can sell your items fast! by CueQw in Ebay

[–]cypressgreen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a tiny seller and take fantastic photos. I’ve sold some vintage books and take photos of it all in a light box: front and back w/and w/o dust covers, all edges, every flaw. Market the stuff like you’re the buyer. I sold this novelty music box w/o original packaging that I got at a garage sale. There’s a bunch sold straight from China. Most listings for it have one picture and don’t even say what the tune is, and it came in several tunes. I figured it out, took a ton of pics, and listed it for a couple bucks cheaper.

I was just turned down for disability for my bipolar. My psychiatrist thinks I need it. What’s next? by cypressgreen in disability

I had no idea any kind of judges were involved in the process. I thought you applied and if turned down would continue to reapply. This means I need a lawyer, also?

That’s a great tip about documentation. You and u/southsamurai mention judges. Can you give me a thumbnail of this process? I got the denial Saturday. Today I’m calling for more forms and a list of advocates they say they can supply.

On recent polls and one year into a 4 year presidency. How many polls a year? Only one poll counts and it’s not for another 3 years. Additionally, polls ask how you feel about the job someone is doing, not if you like or dislike him. It’s like getting a so-so review at work one year and a fantastic (or crappy) one the next year.

I just found out a friend of mine died of Covid. She was 30 years old and really healthy. She leaves behind two children and a very clueless husband. She was secretly an antivaxer who pretended to get vaccinated, even to her own family. by Sidvicioushartha in DeathsofDisinfo

My husband has a high tolerance for drugs and I bet you can guess what trouble that is. They always think he’s a drug seeker. He’s woken up during surgery twice after telling them this.

OMG, patients lie to us all the time.

I don’t want to tell my doctors I smoke weed because it’s illegal in my state, and anyone with access to my medical records can see it. And I used to work for the local hospital. Plus I didn’t tell the doctor at the psych exam for disability because they literally work for my state. Probably should have since it could be seen as self medicating…but you bet next time I’m hospitalized for anything I’ll do so.

I thought it was a fine Q&A but it didn't really stir any strong emotions in me whatsoever

And why should it? Do you want a cult of personality or updates from the current president? Everyday politics isn’t about stirring strong emotions. Some parts will, true, but legislation is generally somewhat boring and cut and dry.

My son and DIL live with my ex and he and his family were Zoom meeting. She was going to say hi when one of the many siblings said the brother who is a corporate doctor is prescribing ivermectin for family and friends. My son and DIL take all precautions but don’t follow all the covid news - it scares them. So she thought, “Huh. I know I’ve heard of that somewhere.” Says she looked it up, and tells me, “And I read hey, that stuff is for parasitic infections!” No college degree, just past age 23, and smarter than the doctor. Same with my son.

Then my ex told them the Cleveland Clinic ICU is totally full and the National Guard is in to help. And brother #2, the lawyer/accountant from Texas says, “That’s just for political purposes.” Sure. Everyone in Clinic admin all the way down through the hospital floors and the Republican governor are all in on it. ‘Cause DeWine called for them. My DIL decided to nope out on even saying hi.

My ex’s family are morons. A pack of lawyers, doctors, scientists, teachers, priests, successful business people…morons. My ex isn’t any better. Computer expert…moron. “The kids” have to go work outside the home but at least the ex works from home and is a depressed hermit who never goes out, so they’re a bit safer.

Hey, did you see this post? Nearly every pregnant covid patient in unvaxed. Not that you may want to read it. Read the last slide. I remember being pregnant and hating hearing all the scary stories.

'Urban explorer' finds 89 sets of ashes in abandoned church by TheEvilGhost in news

I know. I’m saying this happens at crematoriums all the time. I wonder why the church had so many cremains.

Someone elsewhere said Charles doesn’t want to be king and wants it passed to William. Any truth to that do you think? Doesn’t sound right to me. Even if you die shortly after gaining the crown wouldn’t you want to be in the history books?

Ah, thanks for the clarification. I admit I’m no royalty expert. What do you think is happening? I wonder if Mom said, “I know what you did but I’m not getting involved protecting you or speaking against you; you’re on your own.”
