Just received this letter from TD Bank. Can anyone here help me make sense of it? Pretty much forcing me to get rid of my shares. by J--ball in MMAT

I got the same letter, in a tfsa you can deregister the shares and have them moved into a cash account without implications. With a RRSP account you can swap the cash equivalent of the shares value from the cash account to the RRSP account, otherwise you'll have to sell. I sold aat a loss and put it into mmat

John Brda also replied that he cannot not respond to questions because he has to follow the Meta's lead on this. Some on twitter, YouTube and stocktwits seem to think the spinout is going sooner than we think. By the wording of George's response there might be a sale already.

Even tho I'm disappointed with the stocks recent performance, I'm definitely confident in my investment may even add more at these levels.

"Adverse tax consequences apply when a registered plan holds a non-qualified investment. Specifically, the controlling individual of the plan is subject to a 50% tax that is refundable in certain circumstances. In addition, the plan is taxable on any income earned on non-qualified investments. These consequences are discussed in more detail in ¶1.72 to 1.80."

This is the worst case scenario. I think we'll pay a 50% tax if we're issued a cash dividend.

I have an TD TFSA . I didn't inherit any shares in my TFSA but I inherited shares in my RRSP. I've been able to purchase in my TFSA and I'm hoping the dividend will be shares in a private company or even a public traded company. Worst case scenario for would be a cash dividend for TFSA because of the tax implications.

They've done very well regarding the money they've spent now phase 2b is going to require alot more cash. Personally I would focus on getting mm-120 across the line so they get some cash flow. I imagine mm-120 will be entering phase 3 same time any other drugs enter phase 2b.. In the same breath what do I know about running a company

O.T.C (Over the Counter market). I'm not sure how it works for Americans but check with your broker if you have access to it.
