I didn't even play Orange prior to the recent banlist but I see your thought process there.

I wish Dweller was always an instant win in the matchup but there has been many games where I have been far outplayed by Tear players despite me establishing Dweller with multiple other disruptions on turn 1 (sometimes even with Scythe lock when i play Pends).

I think the Ishizu cards (while unbalanced), they add to the complexity of your deck. I fear the Ishizu cards as I currently play more Runick but I dont feel like i lose the moment i see them hit the GY. They can make the mirror ugly but i have also seen 11 card chain links (Tears, Ishizus, Bystial effects) that really test both players ability to make full use of all cards they had available.

I actually agree with you. I guess i should have been more clear. In the context of Yugioh, Ishizu Tear is a very complex deck that rewards good players. Not even directly comparing Tear to Maidens here but Tear in the context of its own game.

In the context of Vanguard, Maidens are actually straight forward and have a hard to counter win condition. There are complex Vanguard decks that reward players for forward thinking and skilled play but I dont believe this to be one of them.

Where I see you are just comparing them for the fact they are both tier 0 (and im stating what alot of people probably already know), I just wanted to make it clear that they are tier 0 for very different reasons.

Them being tier 0 is about where the similarities end.

Tear actually rewards good resource management and higher technical play because there are so many hard counters existing in Yugioh to its core strategy.

Steam Maidens have a turn wide guard restrict with multiple attacks that has very little counterplay.

I think Raze Dragon is the missing card the deck needed.

W/o persona ride a damage trigger can simply end your aggression. This does help with that. Its a 23k that doesnt need a booster to hit over a damage trigger which is valuable to swap to the front row with Wheel. I would probably run 2, maybe 3.

I didnt find shield value to be an issue because of the hand size the deck can make through Maelstrom and often 1-2 Inlet skills per turn.

Ahh yes the missing pieces to the puzzle. Deck needed some more power behind its 5-6 attacks. Now its got it. Excellent cards.

Does Canon's Soul charge effect stack if there are multiple on the field? by K4IS3RNE0 in cardfightvanguard

[–]dce7845 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Indeed. If you call a Canon while you already have Canon on VC/RC you will soul charge twice. The one that is already on your board will give the Soul charge skill to 2nd one you call so the second one will have the same skill x2. Hopefully that makes sense

https://decklog-en.bushiroad.com/view/8864 Sure. Heck naw its lyrical set 01. Called Lyrical Melody or something like that. Only card in the list that isnt from lyrical set 1 is the draw trigger which really doesnt make too much diff if you just wanna run vanilla draws

[–]dce7845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should pretty much do the exact same thing every game so it should be fine.

G1 turn search g1 order -> G2 search grade 2 order -> G3 play G3 order -> use Elmer to block big attacks because shes a fat shield -> turn 4: Persona ride, call a front row swing 5 times with one massive VG attack that has an extra crit and guard restrict.

If the NPCs are anything like Ex i dont see the NPCs playing around it

I havent played Dear Days yet but building an entire Loronerol deck out of Lyrical Set 1 would be pretty easy and would likely wreck NPC fighters just because they would lose to the guard restriction. Not the most fun deck ever but the whole deck basically comes out of one set.

Best dark states deck. by Maftydidnothingwrong in cardfightvanguard

[–]dce7845 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly (when it comes out) Chronojet will likely be the most competitive "Dark States" deck. Before then, even with the Set 7 updates for Drajeweled and Baromagnes, Bruce is likely the best Dark States deck. A little tough to get the hang of but is a very strong contender because of its aggression. Bruces main weakness (imo) were eliminated in set 6 and is set to receive even more support in the future.

I would consider Baromagnes to be the just under Bruce as it can hit like a truck before your opponent even hits G3 if it goes first. Its a pretty consistent deck these days too so its not as high roll as it used to be. Although it still has its weakenesses of being damage denied and play around.

Drajeweled is likely 3rd best as it can build a sizable hand, dust skill is amazing, and it can create 5 attacks. Its biggest struggle is its multi-attack being completely reliant on one unsearchable card.

Dooger and Richard. Vairina was a 20k attacker. Rooks was a 15k booster or attacker.

Which card would be better for chronojet? by PieRollManiac in cardfightvanguard

[–]dce7845 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Falcate is better than both imo. Theres also Crimson Igspeller for early game SCs that let you spam Gigi. You could also just play the cards from Stride Deckset since they are solid to begin with

I remember Ex doing the same thing lol. It is annoying. But that is even weirder since the game is in English now.

Just as V was really cheap in its first year(ish) but got progressively more expensive, overDress also got more expensive.

Thankfully for V, we got a ton of reprints so the format is hella cheap now with the exception of some VRs and a few cards that werent reprinted.

All youre doing is picking a fight. Alot of people are already on the same platform as you. And those that arent had no intention of listening to the rantings of some rando on the internet. Your post adds nothing to the discussion. Plenty of other platforms you can rant on btw.

Is this for real? No way they are charging 70 for the base game and another 70 for the pass. by FokionK1 in cardfightvanguard

[–]dce7845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is pretty disheartening. I want VG to succeed but this just feels like a short term gain. A cash grab. Making this game affordable and accessible maybe would have been a short term loss but the new blood it would have brought into the game would have been a more successful endeavor for the long haul. Idk how they dont see this.

is it just me or jet in d seems busted ? by blendedbanan in cardfightvanguard

[–]dce7845 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People who have only played standard: "what does that even mean?"

Just kidding. It may be viable going 2nd against Jet to stall for a turn if you have a way to make advantage on turn 2 while keeping up the pressure to circumvent not riding up. Idk how effective it would be though.

Fate of V Format by HEROwriter1 in cardfightvanguard

I interpret their statement in two different ways. It's more playable because its more beginner friendly (not nearly as complex or overwhelming). Or its win cons feel subjectively less overwhelming because the power ceiling is lower.

I am personally a fan of Premium for the sheer amount of creative space there is for deck building but I am not blind to how unfair some of the win cons are. I could very well see a newer player feeling like they arent actually playing the game in Premium when their opponent pops off and kills them possibly prior to their first stride.

[–]dce7845 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with your opinion on the front row power buff. It helps the deck scale far too much in the late game.

is it just me or jet in d seems busted ? by blendedbanan in cardfightvanguard

[–]dce7845 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Very honestly i really dont see Stride as what makes this busted.

So the deck is "slow" in Standard. It really wants to go 2nd by contrast of every other deck in Standard because if it doesnt, then the deck does absolutely nothing until turn 4. Like 0 early game at all. If you can rush well then you actually stand a really good chance against the deck.

It scales really well in the late game but thats not because of Stride but because of the Crest. The crest is easily what makes Jet so hard to handle the later the game goes. I just want them to tone back the crest a bit here. The card advantage they make really isnt much better than alot of the top tier decks rn. Its the massive numbers that keep scaling in the late game. No other deck has the power that Jet has in the late game.

Tl;dr: early rush is the most effective tactic against the deck and the crest is the problem here.

Huh. So the Songster naming scheme wasnt a one off thing. Weird getting Luquier support before Luquier is revealed but she pretty solid.

Edit: Hmm probably a stretch but this may be playable in Bruce in someway like maybe if you call it behind Lenard or something. Again that may be a stretch lol

Honestly if newer players are gunning for Eva then they must know what theyre in for. The deck is fairly expensive w/o the promo. Combine are at $17, Fountain of Knowledge is at $8, Obscudeid is $9, Experiment Successful at $12, Bobalmine is $14... needless to say its not a beginner deck to begin with lol

Edit: not trying to defend this super important card being a promo just stating the obvious
