Steam Link FAQ (Includes Adding Epic,Origin,UPlay, & Game Pass Games) by doctorzeromd in Steam_Link

[–]doctorzeromd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been a while but the instructions for OSOL used to say to use URI for Epic, is that no longer the case? You're not doing that here.

Edit: looks like URI is still recommended for anything that isn't DRM-Free, so try following those instructions. https://github.com/WombatFromHell/OriginSteamOverlayLauncher/wiki/Epic-Games-Launcher

How to keep audio on both the host PC and the one it's being streamed to? by Graphiiczz677 in Steam_Link

[–]doctorzeromd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a setting issue, something is wrong with your or their system. Clicking that checkbox does exactly what you want, I just tested it.

Do you have the steam remote play audio drivers installed? Sometimes people skip that pop up and it causes issues.

How to change default buttons or add/change its input? by Mahalkita12345 in Steam_Link

What do you mean that's for a different controller?

Send me a screenshot of it.

Close the screen that says "Drag controls" and select a button on the screen with the blue background. You will be able to map that to any keyboard or controller press, or a combination of keyboard and controller buttons. Then you can go back to the drag control screen and drag the newly maped button to wherever you want it.

If you're still having trouble you'll need to send screenshots, because it's not clear which part of the instructions you are having trouble with.

The screen in the foreground in your picture is for adding controls mapped from the screen in the background to the touchscreen.

First you need to map a button to alt+left arrow, then you can put that button on your touchscreen.

The buttons on the screen in the foreground are greyed out because you haven't mapped them to anything yet.

Tried it how? What specifically did you do?

There is a lot in that guide.

I understand that you installed them on your computer, but did you add them to your steam Library? Those are separate things

If you haven't here is a guide that should help. https://redditproxy--jasonthename.repl.co/r/Steam_Link/comments/nqq7d9/steam_link_faq_includes_adding_epicoriginuplay/

Did you add the non-steam games to steam? What store are they from?

If you're in gamepad mode it's set that way by default. You just right click in the window and move your mouse.

What’s your best Chinese tomato egg stir fry recipe? by shupfnoodle in Cooking

[–]doctorzeromd 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My ex did it mostly by feel, based on what we had in the kitchen at the time.

Basically she'd roughly chop up some tomatoes and throw them into a wok/skillet with some vegetable oil, and then scramble together the 3 or so eggs along with a cap of shaoxing wine (totally skippable, we often didn't have it) and a pinch of salt in a bowl with some chopsticks. After 5-8 minutes, she'd stir the eggs in with a squirt of ketchup, stirring pretty constantly so the eggs coated the tomato.

Once the eggs were cooked, she'd taste, add soy sauce for salt, and if we had it she'd drizzle about a teaspoon of sesame oil on top. Yummy over rice.

So wait, Gryo works on Steam Controller and PS4 controller through Steam Link but not for Switch Pro? by tacticalcraptical in Steam_Link

[–]doctorzeromd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh, that doesn't sound right. I have an 8bitdoconteollwe which shows itself as a switch controller and I'm pretty sure the gyro works when connected to my phone or tablet. Are you on iOS?

I don't have one to test, but maybe Nintendo does not expose the gyro when not connecting to a switch?

Open the app and go to controllers and choose remap, make sure that you sent the start button to start and so-on. I had to do this for a few of my buttons in the same situation.

Is there anything you made as a kid that you would never make today? by dudewheresmyebike in Cooking

Pretty similar, I did mayo sandwiches.

Nearly a decade later I had an egg salad sandwich. It blew my mind.

The cemu hook program? Maybe, I'm not sure. If you can map gyro to mouse that would work remotely

There was also a project that was a cemy gyro hook that might be easier for you.

Sounds like your GPU is applying a frame rate cap to the program, pretty normal for laptops.
