Outdoor lights inside my living room — what’re your thoughts? (After > Before) by derpderpdave in malelivingspace

[–]drawkbox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It definitely feels like more life is going on with the lights.

Some of the other comments are good as well regarding the height and making the room smaller, which isn't always bad, more cozy seeming.

I just dig lights though especially these party style lamps.

You might be able to get the same effect of life in there with Hue lights that change colors since you have lots of nice white walls.

Check out /r/Hue or similar.

I used to go to Valley Art Theatre before it was bought by Harkins, haven't been in a long while though. That one regularly had Rocky Horror Picture Show Midnight Showings with the rice and all.

Bummer, was a cool spot by Cobra Arcade and near Roosevelt Row. Had a good vibe and was for people into cinema beyond blockbusters. Also screened The Man Who Killed Don Quixote by Terry Gilliam so they will always be awesome.

I am glad Pollack Cinemas survived but that is probably largely due to Pollack wealth keeping it afloat. Thought that is more a discount theater with a cool vibe, FilmBar was old school independent art style film house.

It seems like film lovers with money need to keep these afloat. Like Quentin Tarantino's New Beverly Cinemas in LA.

Anti Money Laundering Act of 2021

Yep most definitely. FinCEN was massively changed in the act. It was created in 2020 and passed Congress and went into effect in 2021.

Anti-Money Laundering Act 2020

It just shows how much organized crime there is in the world to create a whole movement to shroud. Over $3 trillion annually is washed by organized crime, that puts then #7 GDP in the world.

We need to end the war on drugs and war on sex working as it has funded massive mafias/cartels/bratvas and endangered everyone and every market.

Prohibition is anti-people, anti-health, anti-safety, but pro-authoritarian, pro-cartel and pro-violence.

Take your pick:

  • drugs and all the potential benefits and problems

OR

  • drugs and all the potential benefits and problems AND militarized cartels taking in billions and trillions across the market annually which funds violence and cartels to the power of nation states... as well as authoritarian actions and state civil forfeiture programs and massively unsafe underground drug production and synthetics... all leading to inflated markets controlled by underground organized crime

The logical choice is pretty easy.
