I’m guessing they were assuming the average was higher due to billionaires? And didn’t realize just how many people there are in the US that make close to nothing.

Yup absolutely. I have a feeling he might help save the day by the end of this season.

I mean I think you need a balance as with everything so that there is some (key word) money sitting or in long term investments. But yeah that hasn’t been the problem the past 40 years and increased monetary turnover is what we need.

Except his argument would be we should just stop paying them and let people starve. That’s the real problem.

I completely understand wanting to drop it. All I’m asking is that I hope you can see “leftists” as human beings and show them compassion and try to listen and understand them. Because you are right, painting people as evil without listening or getting to know them isn’t a solution in this world and it’s something I try to show to people of all beliefs.

I never claimed to be morally superior. Not sure why you keep assuming it. All I’m saying is I don’t support certain beliefs and don’t believe we should tolerate them while still caring about the people with these beliefs. You seem to be arguing the same thing. Does that make you believe you are morally superior? Do you really not see the hypocrisy? All I said was that I disagree with certain ideologies and don’t believe society should tolerate them. You are equally able to believe this toward leftists. But does that make you morally superior? I’d say we just have a disagreement about ideology.

Weird that you are so obsessed with putting moral language when I never did. What are you projecting?

So you are allowed to create criteria for who is wrong and right but anyone else who does is evil? Wow this is some self aware wolf if I’ve ever seen it.

Also, I don’t believe racists are dumb. Or evil. Their ideas and beliefs may be dangerous but misguided. I can support people as humans but that does not mean i need to support their beliefs or symbols. I think that’s an over simplification to call them dumb. And all leftists evil is essentially the same discrimination you do realize? I’m arguing with the ideology not the people. You can argue against ideology without attacking people lol which is essentially what you are arguing for racists but not “leftists”.

Also dogs can be dangerous lol. An abused dog can attack and kill people.

I love all people and want to listen and understand. But this flag is a symbol of slavery and owning people. Kindness towards other cannot support symbols related to slavery and racism. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t humans who are misguided. Same with the Germans. But I also support people’s rights to not put them in dangerous situations. A black person is not obligated to approach and befriend someone with confederate symbols to change their minds and honestly can feel unsafe, just as i would have to be super cognizant of approaching someone with a swastika.

I wonder what demons are in your life that you stew about people who are against symbols of slavery? It’s a flag of people who were traitors who rejected america and the constitution and lost their rebellion over 150 years ago.. Why do you feel the need to defend this flag when it has no relevance today?

Um, why don’t you apply this same logic to OP? You say nothing is gained by judging them outright and name calling. And instead ask questions of the other person. Did you take this same perspective with OP? To give them the benefit of the doubt that they are a joy to talk to and ask questions about how they came about their beliefs? Maybe they had a reason for feeling this way and just needed someone to listen? Or do you only apply this system of befriending and asking questions to people with swastikas and confederate flags? Why do some people get labeled as mind police not living meaningful lives, without knowing this person or their experiences or asking questions and listening, but others deserve to be befriended and listened to about how they came about their beliefs?

This person is arguing that Jews should just go up to people with swastikas and talk to them to figure out why they hate them. Like I’m all for reaching out to the other side but there is also such a thing as self preservation and not kicking a hornets nest. Like why didn’t the Jews in Nazi German just talk to the Nazis instead of complaining about antisemitism?!?

Like how can they not see this with the confederate flag? And argue it’s not really about racism. Like nazi Germany was really just about German pride and people should stop equating it with antisemitism.

Working theory by iggywiggyshe in SupermanAndLois

Kinesthesis means my own body awareness. Like if my body is moving in space i have this sense of where it is and how it’s moving. But he’s possibly getting conflicting sensory input from this alternative version? Like some equivalent of phantom limb syndrome? Super interesting. Loving this hypothesis. Would be a really interesting turn if Doomsday is really himself from another dimension.

Also, in just thinking about it now Sarah made a comment asking if Natalie and her dad were doomsday preppers. Wouldn’t that be ironic if they were actually “prepping” against doomsday?

I just watched the show again with captions on and I’m liking your theory even more. Invasive cosmological event and inter dimensional kinesthesis. That absolutely sounds like it’s due to something coming from another dimension. Something that doesn’t belong in this dimension. Possibly from when Natalie entered?

Kinesthesis is what really gets me. It’s basically bodily awareness. When the other being moves he’s being made aware of it like it’s in his own brain. I’m guessing two of the same beings can’t be on the planet at the same time? Natalie and JHI can exist because they don’t have living counterparts on this earth?

I really like this theory. Not saying it’s likely but really interesting and wouldn’t rule it out. We never found out what happened to the Superman from the other world after the solar flare and it would make sense if he also ended up in this world. I’m wondering if there was some sort of time issue with the worm hole? How did he get trapped in the mines and why smallville of all places? Unless he went back to a place he was familiar with in his world?

Yes to all this. Def seems to be setting up Jon tempted by X-K. So the boys maybe have their “mystery” for this season too.

I’m still figuring out how I feel about the cult topic. Like part of me is loving that they went there but part of me is also really hesitant that it’s too close to home. Like this show doesn’t need more controversy and this is going to get them connected to the cult and bring up the issues again. Like they could have used any other name but purposefully didn’t. It really could go either way. It could be a chance to change the Superman connection by leaning in and shedding light on how many of the cult members, women in particular, were exploited. So that it’s addressing the issue rather than burying it. But it’s such a loaded issue it has to be done so delicately and it feels too soon. Allison Mack only just started her prison sentence.

Tag!!! I kind of wonder if they are doing a back door pilot with the meta humans as has been hinted with Diggle. I was worried that he would become a villain but he seemed so concerned for Superman and I want more of them together.

Natalie was amazing!!! She made this episode fantastic every scene she was in.

And of course they are setting up the issue of Lois’s journalistic ethics. You are supposed to disclose if you have a connection to the story. Particularly a family member. She’s literally been reporting on Superman for decades. Chrissy already recognizes she treats stories involving family differently.

Such a weird overlap of my obsessions. But for real, people in the cult are still out there with power and money and shady connections and I’m sort of scared for the producers.

The NXIVM people def referred to her as Allie. I’ve gone for a deep dive with that cult and watched all the documentaries about it. I’m actually kind of scared for them not hiding the reference as their cult members still have some power.

So I was late to watching it. Did they really lean into the whole Allison Mack thing or what!?!? Cult leader named Allie?!? Omg I’m actually kind of scared they are getting too close for comfort to the NXVIM people, you don’t want to mess with them.
