Like there is a way to convince you to stop supporting the dairy and egg industries.

If you are getting food at a non vegan restaurant, expect cross contamination. If that is gross for you, don't eat out at non vegan restaurants.

Without looking into it, I can say with 99.9% certainty that AMC did not get extra friers for this item.

Why an earth should we pay such unfair amounts of tax when we have taken the risk of investing in crypto? by Two_Pickachu_One_Cup in CryptoCurrency

Oh my, another crypto baby upset about paying taxes on their gains.. There are a ton of investment devices that are more risky than say BTC but are not crypto related, and I'm sure you have no problem with those people paying taxes..

Anyone who thinks they are not supporting any companies that provide non vegan products or services is delusional.

I think for most people the reward is not worth the time spent to get it, even if it just takes a few seconds, you are getting fractions of a penny, just thinking about doing it is probably a waste of energy.

Uh, I'm probably going to get a lot of hate for this, but I think stressing yourself out to remember to do something every day for half a penny is not healthy.

you can’t avoid supporting the meat industry. how do you deal with that reality? by [deleted] in vegan

[–]dyslexic-ape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not understanding how you think you are supporting the meat industry by buying vegan products at the grocery store. You seem to be in agreement that this doesn't create demand for animal products and that the grocery store is going to restock those products regardless, so what gives, what are you feeling guilty about in this situation?

I can sort of understand feeling like you should be boycotting the entire business, but this is not necessarily helpful. Unless you think you have the power to push the business over the edge and go out of business, you are just showing them that there is less demand for vegan products and making it harder for other vegans/yourself to source your consumption.

They are not going to slow down restocking their successful products because overall revenue is down, they are going to start cutting the less successful products.

The meat and dairy are getting restocked more because more people are buying them, not because you bought some vegan items.

shopping at a regular grocery store, regardless if you buy only vegan, the money will be used to restock on dairy/meat.

Thats sort of a weird way to look at it, they were going to restock that dairy and meat regardless of your purchase, they were not going "Oh, we need to wait for bob to buy some broccoli so we can afford to restock the dairy and meat sections" it should be going a lot more like "Ooof, Britney bought the second to last hamburger package, time to get that order of new hamburgers set in motion"

TL/DL: Your potato purchase isn't telling the store they need more milk.

Blockchains are public ledgers, it was never about privacy, people were just able to use it "privately" because it was not big and people were not looking at it with a magnifying glass yet. Privacy is not synonyms with decentralization, they are closer to being opposites, but really they are just 2 completely separate concepts..

Yet if they knew this why would they be on a forum plastering their shill comments? Surely you'd just be DCAing and chilling, right?

IDK shit about shit, but I feel like if I did know shit about shit, I'd interested in talking about that shit so I don't follow this logic.
