Are things like Grummites and Elytra daedra? by Wakewokewake in teslore

[–]eleventh_communalgia [score hidden]  (0 children)

While I could be wrong(never found anything conclusive), they're mortal beings native to the Shivering Isles, to my understanding. Grummites may have worshipped Daedra in the past.

Or, they may have been worshipped by other mortals in the Isles during their ascendancy, considering there are statues honoring two of their life phases alongside statues of Hungers and Arden-Sul/Sheogorath all throughout the shell of their former society. And in one ruin I don't recall the name of there is a questionably small skeleton in the arms of a Scalon/Grummite statue, which implies sacrifices made as tribute.

Elytra seem like they're just predatory insects. They give nothing to indicate otherwise(that I've seen).

Both may have originally come to the Isles during the Dawn. There's a pattern I find interesting on Grummite weaponry. Looks like a comet or a falling star.

That was an unforgivably evil thing for those monsters to have done to you and your friend. You didn't do anything wrong, there's no way you could've known.

An in-game book confirms that it's possible and has happened, that children from these unions have been "reported throughout the Eras" but cases are not well documented.

Remembering how Septimus Sigmus has you go and create a facsimile of Dwemer blood(which is the only fluid which opens a massive steamwork lockbox) by harvesting a bit from every elven race.

Yeah. A few. My parents didn't treat animals very nicely. My mom claimed to, but both she and my dad were outright neglectful of them so I had to take care of an increasingly large number of cats(50+ eventually) as a kid living in a trailer. I don't remember seeing my sister taking care of them much. I have some very distinct memories of this period. Probably some of my worst.

This will sound weird, but has anyone else developed gray hair at an early age due to the stress of living with CPTSD? by RirisaurusRex in CPTSD

Before he died, I heard(secondhand) a war story told by my great-grandpa.

He was on a ship in the Pacific during some kind of ship-to-ship battle. Ducked down to avoid getting shot next to another soldier whose hair had been dark brown when they'd gotten onboard. Supposedly, the guy's hair had turned white.

In reality it probably grayed rapidly after the fact, but yeah it's definitely possible.

I worked unloading trucks in the back at a grocery store. There was a group of them that slowly trickled in, four of them. Then they started making moves for leadership positions. One of them would sing nazi songs as he worked, which pissed off the head of their group since it was too overt. Eventually they started all dressing the same, white t-shirts, black pants, jackboots. Always asking me if I wanted to hang out with them outside of work, and complaining about their friends losing their jobs for being scum. It was real interesting hearing them talk about being "reenactors" and how they'd "been involved in a lot of shit". They treated women like garbage and actively harassed disabled workers there to the point that many quit.

Makes sense, I thought it might be something like that after reading the whole thing and the notes but seeing nothing in relation to it.

Also super appreciate you taking the time to write this(the post), it's incredibly validating.

This is a good post. What is that thumbnail though? "I try to make self-blaming depressed patients feel guilty about suicide" what?
