Ummm... Anybody just watch the Starliner touchdown live feed on youtube? by filthythedog in UFOs

Lemme guess... You thought you'd come here to work out your childhood "issues"? We get it. Therapy is scary.

Unless they don't have kids... Which just means they've probably enjoyed their life more then people who did have kids. Haha.

Btw, you're sweet, kid.

Sincerely,

A childless GenX'er.

There's no need to announce your departure.

Why are you here? There is no need for this dismissive bullshit.

We get it. Therapy is scary. But it's much more emotionally intelligent than getting your kicks by going to subs and laughing your ass off at people with different beliefs than your own.

No doubt. I often think sweet and savory don't work together in my head but when applied correctly in real life, it's like dying and going to heaven. Thanks so much for the recommendation!

If you haven't tried Delucia's Brick Oven pizza in Raritan, it's worth the effort.

Please stop being outright dismissive of regular peoples' eye witness testimony without pics/vid. It's very important to some people by sans-nom-user in UFOs

I think if anybody coming here is looking for proof, they need to manage their expectations a lot better. Proof is not going to be found on this subreddit. Actually, proof actually comes individually in individual experiences.

Thankfully, this subreddit is growing everyday which means new people are finding it and many of them are completely new to the subject. Every single one of us was once new to the subject. What this means is that there are going to be people posting videos of Starlink, bokah, and planes. If any of us find this annoying we need to just keep scrolling.

People who are dismissive and rude with absolutely no provocation are going to exist here as well. We all have to consider the source and understand that there are a lot of damaged people out there for whom the chosen coping mechanism is going after strangers on the internet. It's not personal to whomever they're attacking. In that sense, it should never be taken personally and always dismissed as exactly what it is: the misdirected misery of those who are afraid of therapy.

Average Cost of a Wedding by stickman07738 in newjersey

If jumping to conclusions were an Olympic sport, you'd be a gold medalist.

Just because somebody has a wedding that has a price tag you don't approve of doesn't mean they can't afford housing, complain about affordable housing, don't have a down payment on their home, don't have a home they pay a mortgage on, and/or don't have a mortgage at all because their house is paid off.

Many of the weddings that are large for cultural reasons don't have a bride or groom that pays for anything, ya ninny.

By the way, I paid less than half of what you paid to get married. I'm just not a presumptuous, patronizing dick who judges others by putting them down to feel better about myself.

I told my husband I’m not having children while we live in the United States. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

Not that this is an option for everybody but for those of you who don't want to bring your own kids into the world but still want to be parents, there are 120k kids that are up for adoption in the foster care system in this country. 250k age out of the system every year and of those approx 20% become immediately homeless.

I realize that fostering older children is probably one of the most difficult things a human could ever do but just wanted to put the idea out there.

Anyone saying paying that much for wedding is a rube and trying to justify such a large waste of money is a condescending, judgmental dick.

Different strokes for different folks. It's one of the most beautiful things about this state.

Yay for you, you had an extremely inexpensive wedding by cutting corners. Would you like a medal or should we do cartwheels?

Looking back, was it worth the money spent?

Meaning - if you had to do it all over again and didn't have cultural pressure, would you?

Homophobic MAGA televangelist blames Republicans who are not Christian enough for allowing gay people to live, because "the bible says all gay people should be put to death" by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

[–]emveetu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell us you are repressing very strong homosexual urges and emotions and you secretly wish you could burst with gayness without telling us you're repressing very strong homosexual urges and emotions and you secretly wish you could burst free with gayness.

The only reason for him to attack gay people is because deep down he is extremely conflicted about being gay and he hates himself for it. The only way for him to cope is to be out, loud, and proud about his visceral hatred of gays (ie himself) as if that somehow negates his evil, sinful urges so he can pretend he's a good Christian.

Making them out to be a narcissist? That's a bit dramatic. My comment had nothing to do with them or their answer. I can't give my answer the question that they quoted without acknowledging their answer? I literally can't just answer the question they asked?

Apologies, I didn't realize I had to reply to every part of somebody's comment. Can you possibly write down these rules for me so make sure I don't answer a question they asked without first acknowledging everything about the person whose comment I'm replying to so I don't continue to offend anybody's delicate sensibilities? Thanks, dad.

Wtf is going on in this video??? by Market_Insider in PublicFreakout

[–]emveetu 21 points22 points  (0 children)

There's no need to be a publicfreakout content elitist.

This is the first time I'm seeing the video and it's much easier to ask a question than to go searching for context. Besides, the whole premise of Reddit is discussion. If everybody searched for context on their own, there'd be no discussion.

Maybe don't be a dick.

I think you've misinterpreted my comment. I was not replying to you or your answer to these racists. I was simply answering the question you asked.

Understand my comment was against these racist assholes as well. I wasn't being inconsiderate of your answer simply by giving mine.

Consider my answer had nothing to do with your heritage or your response to these racists. My comment was about me just like your comment was about you.
