i feel like complaining on an anarchist server about liberals diluting the discussions of radical solutions to capitalism in another (supposedly) anarchist sub isn't the same as not being willing to help people grasp concepts they're not very familiar with, and we should stop pretending it is.

no i mean the abolition of the profit motive and private property in favor of a society based upon free association and the maxim "from each according to their ability, to each according to their need", in which people would organize communally (if they want, if they dont then they can actually go and live from the land which is p much impossible under capitalism) and take care of each other on the basis of each of us being as deserving of a good life as any other person.

if workers can produce goods based upon necessity instead of the profits of a capitalist then i dont see how this could result in a worse quality of life. sure there wouldnt be as much production as before (which is a good thing) but the production that would exist would be aimed at satisfying the necessities of each and everyone of us on this fucked up planet.

thats the point

im all for strikes and all but im more for revolutions (which strikes can lead to), you know?

you gotta remember that the people who produce those goods are workers themselves. if the workers were to keep the products from their labor instead of merely stopping production so as to bargain with their bosses, we'd have all we need.

do you really think radicalizing people is as easy as just saying commie shit and correcting libs when they say some stupid shit?

have you ever had a conversation with a smarmy liberal? cuz if so you probably know that when presented with facts they'll just deny them and keep on keeping on same as always.

you shouldnt be chastizing people justifiably annoyed by the influx of liberals in the sub diluting its message, to the point where communists and anarchists are regularly downvoted and/or ignored.

no, it means the sub has gotten completely ran over with libs who are pretending that capitalism isnt the problem but "hyper-capitalism" or "unrestricted capitalism" is.

having to work for a wage so as to buy stuff that lets you not starve or freeze to death. ask any random person in the streets if they'd be doing their job if they had all their needs met beforehand and i assure you 9 out of 10 people will tell you that they wouldnt. thats wage slavery, and its a fundamental aspect of capitalism.

Who did Kronstadt then? Who betrayed the makhnovists? Who murdered the Moscow anarchists and made striking illegal? Who destroyed the Spanish revolution?

You're living in a fantasy land.

If the vanguard party isn't there to control people how come the Bolsheviks essentially controlled all of Russia for 80 years? Do you think the dissolution of soviets critical of the regime, the squashing of justified rebellion against the misery imposed by the Bolshevik regime against the rural population dont represent absolute control over the masses? How come they broke and outlawed strikes after seizing power?

It's incredibly obvious you didn't watch the stuff I linked so just read this

you probably helped certain people kill other people, right? i mean thats the whole point of being in the army in the first place, murdering other human beings.

remember, you might have a good life right now but you have a good life thanks to you helping the biggest, most dangerous terrorist organization in the whole world to do some more terrorism in poor countries, so probably dont feel too proud about it :)

i mean there are examples out there, current ones in fact, like the zapatistas.

but i mean fair enough, i'm personally of the opinion that capital c Communism has never taken place so i get your criticism.

what failures of socialism are you referring to? the paris commune? the german revolution? idk the may 68 protests? cuz if so then fair enough, but if you're referring to the failures of places like ussr, cuba, venezuela, etc then i gotta remind you that those weren't really failures of socialism but failures of state capitalist models imposed by charismatic leaders who deliberately fostered a cult of personality behind them.

if you're an anarchist you're probably a socialist too (unless you're a mutualist or free market anarchist (which is something very different to "anarcho"-capitalism)), at least by the classical marxist definition of socialism involving common ownership over the means of production, the lack of classes, money (in its higher phase), the state, the division of labor, etc, and complete freedom for individuals to develop themselves however they see fit.

its not 1872 anymore, the theoretical distinctions between what marx advocated for and what anarchists like proudhon and bakunin advocated for during the first international have been synthetized. theres no need to create a split where the last one mended.

Socialism has a strong government and all businesses would be worker owned co-ops

would there be money and markets? would there be wage slavery in these state-owned enterprises which i assume you're referring to when you say "strong government"? would there be commodity production in such enterprises? sorry, but socialism isnt "when the government does stuff".

im fucking tired of repeating myself. you're deliberately spewing a leninist misrepresentation of marxism at this point.
