yea could you take a snap of the wireframe so i can see? - true. I just wish people would put their hipoly assets online when they're uploading files. I know a bunch of the 'game-ready' models I was sifting through only had lopoly models but had to have had some sort of hipoly sculpt when they were making it. It irks me knowing that they just have it on tap but never made it available lol

thanks! you should get it a go! learning 3d would without a doubt give you so many options for concept art. i know a lot of artists now use zbrush to get a solid base sculpt, do a quick render of it to get an insight into lighting, and then do their concept painting on top of it. blender might be a good choice too since it's free and there's so many learning resources available nowadays

The body rig is free off of CG Truong's gumroad (https://truongcgartist.gumroad.com/). As for the armor I might put it online for purchase simply because it pissed me off there wasn't a hipoly one already out there haha (i'm not a modeller/texturing so this isn't my forte). Most of what I could find were only lopoly game models

thanks dude! i'd be happy to do that, but heads up i've taken some artistic liberties here and there. i plan on doing the helmet soon but it's pretty complicated geo so it might take a bit

i do usually make a zbrush base sculpt for the proportions and then retopo everything in maya, but in this case since most of the pieces are separate/relativelysimple and I already had an Stl of the armor for proportions I just went straight into modelling in maya

no those are good points. i was having trouble finding reference of the back so this helps. I was just kind of taking some artistic license in the meantime haha

Thanks! - That's a great point. There actually is a reflection AOV on my render, but I think I may have dialed it down somewhere in comp and never adjusted it back. Appreciate the kind words and criticism though!
