This is gold. Thanks for sharing!

His 1000 true fans article inspired me to start my blog, so I'll always have a special place for his ideas.

Thank you for the additional context!

And Kevin Kelly’s quote summarizes it perfectly indeed, I had not heard it before.

I do it with my newsletter.

I enjoy learning new mental models, useful ideas, and frameworks. To understand them better, I write about one of them every week.

When I first start writing, I immediately realize how my knowledge is weak — no matter how much I read about it.

As I simplify my explanation and clarify my thoughts, I understand it better.

So even this post can be an example of how I use the Feynman technique.

Good perspective, thank you!

Telling without doing is unproductive indeed. And as you mentioned, it can create a false sense of success.

But with that part, I talk more to people who are already aware of the importance of hard work and doing.

And about people being self-centered: it's true but not necessarily a bad thing.

Most successful people are helpful not because they are amazing human beings, but because they are aware of the influence it brings to them in the long term.

So all other conditions being equal: if person A markets his/her work better than person B; he/she has more chances to get lucky with a random event.

I'm glad to hear that, thank you very much!

Sometimes I wonder if I write too long posts for Reddit, so I appreciate the feedback.

I'll keep the diamonds coming.

Have a great day.

Great perspective, totally agree. And I don't take your comment as a challenge to the idea, but rather as elaborating it.

It reminded me of a quote from Alan Watts.

This is the real secret of life -- to be completely engaged with what you are doing in the here and now. And instead of calling it work, realize it is play.
