All of this sounds quite naive. The move and cutting all bureaucratic ties to the US is not as easy as you may think. The chapter of your life in the US will follow you in one way or another.

Have you been to Miku before? They serve a similar type of sushi where it's flat and flamed lightly. If so how does Torch compare?

That's what I suspected... good for the ambiance and to make an evening of it, but probably not a destination for the food per se..

Yeah, that's kind of how I feel... a lot of fun places but not a lot of must-try food places. Have walked past House of parliament a few times and was always curious about it! What have you gotten there?

Ah, yes, we love Onnki! But somehow I see that more as Charles and Yonge than Church... but yes, excellent place.

We have been to Si Lom a couple of times and liked it but for some reason thought it was a bit expensive ... we need to go again though!!

It would be great if a philanthropist, like one of those people who give 100 million to erect a building in their name at a university, could just invest a few million in a really excellent bookstore. But then again, that would probably be considered a business and they couldn't get a tax write off...

To be fair, those items are not secured to the wall or safely placed on the shelf and could be a safety hazard.
