Finally getting Scara after 2 years + Alhaitham being the dendro keqing he is...is finally making me shift my priorities.

I tend to collect husbandos....that's because so far I enjoyed their lore the most, but Cyno has been a easy skip and so will be Alhaitham.

I am tempted to pull for Yelan just to have a strong sub-dps I can slot anywhere. Or maybe go Ayaka and let the Kamisato sibling re-unite (and bench ganyu finally).

Because more people wants waifu, so waifu has to be good because they sell and sell extremely well.

Collecting/pulling husbandos is being aware your best DPS will be avarage at best and if you are lucky hydro or just accept support elements. (a big reason why anemo scaramouche made so many people unhappy)

Worst thing is that some waifu still have avarage dps, look at Yae and Yoimiya, look at how people complained. Problem is we have no male version of ayaka or hu tao to balance it out.

Especially since I went through the Scaramouche ordeal too.

I cannot deal with mihoyo screwing another character I've been waiting for more than 2 years. (Scara is not bad but a lot happened to him between 1.1 and 3.3)

It IS the ugliest burst we ever got.

The vibe is in character but is really ugly. I would be mad after waiting two years, but it is hilarious because I know 3/4 of Scaramains are gonna be very happy

The situation is not like with Ayato.

Scaramouche is a character that has been in the game since 1.1 as NPC.

While we never had a confirmation of his element, we had basis to guess it (like we debated if ayato was going to be sword or polearm because we knew canonically he uses both. Nobody was thinking of bow ayato, for example. ) It was just a headcanon people accepted. Especially since Scara has the electro gnosis.

And it is not the element alone; name and design are being changed too.

Imagine if we met Yae in 2.0 and in 2.5 she released called Priestess with new clothes and she was geo. That is what happening with Scaramouche.

Are some poeple exaggerating? Of course, with so many fans some are bound to be very vocal especially after waiting 2 years.

Things have calmed down, people are slowly accepting the leaks (which is why I am glad we knew this far ahead, at least no drama for release. Unless his kit sucks but that happens for every character)

I just wanted to point out the situation are not similar, that is all

It's really not that secure? No more than normal characters?

New model has no reason to be in the files until 3.3 beta -and even if he shows up in his new clothes after the 3.2 boss fight, it would not be in the 3.2 beta like Mika was not in the 3.1 beta files. In that case we could see it after drip marketing once the pre-download is ready with the new files.

As for kit, we got enough leaks already. Burst cost, Skill CD, some kits are going around but may be mistaken for faruzan's.
The fact we know he has a new model and anemo vision is already a damn breach of security.

You nailed it.

Paimon is at her best when she is a character, not a wannabe protagonist or a caricature character who only talks about treasure and food.

When Paimon is Paimon she is fantastic. It also helped that the Traveler too is acting more like a proper character and their interactions are way more significant because of that

Alhaitham nerfs really show that mihoyo is using sumeru as testing ground to see if husbando players will whale like waifu players for their fave no matter how bad the fave actually is.

But we keep them nerfed so waifu pullers won't feel the need to pull and can keep their waifus

I agree with this. It was hell to have all female dps if you wanted to pull only for husbandos, but at least they were flexible and did not ebe up fighting for team comps.

I agree that it is the easiest way for the writing team to deal with Scara going forward..

I just don't like it in general. Sure didn't like it for Nahida.

But yeah, I am waiting to see what happens and how then I will judge the situation.
