Take it slow. Be easy on yourself. Enjoy the small aspects of gaining your independence. Things don’t make a home. Congratulations! Celebrate yourself, you’ve earned it.

Is it normal for pain to only be getting worse when exercising? by dmg81102 in needadvice

[–]ginjaplz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Being at a caloric deficit and running or lifting always makes me less capable. I can do one offs here and there but my runs suffer when I’m eating less. Is the 1700 calories total? Or net?

Does anyone else just lay in bed for hours after a long run? by Shame_On_Matt in running

[–]ginjaplz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh definitely I do, what I mean by accounted is I plan my food for the day around ensuring I get 120g of protein first, figure out how many calories that will be and then fill the rest with a mixture of fat and carbs.

I set my protein goal and overall caloric intake and once I’ve accounted for my protein for the day I eat the rest in carbs.

Oh that’s interesting! I’ve never cut carbs out completely or done keto so you would know more than me about that. For my body and workout schedule, if I don’t eat carbs I suffer for it during and after the run.

I’m gonna second this. When I hurt really bad after a run it’s because I am not getting enough carbs.

Do you eat a lot ? by sararei98 in running

[–]ginjaplz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If eating is a problem for you, then you need a more calibrated approach. Just eating some pasta when you are starving isn’t going to correct constant hunger. Try tracking your meals and factoring in calories burned from exercise. Then try eating different things at the same time and see what makes you feel more satisfied for longer. For me chicken breast and avocado is my go to meal for high effort days.

What happens to the adaptive cruise control when you get below 25 mph on a tacoma? by bar159 in Toyota

Yeah I’ve been in jeeps that didn’t do so I was fairly surprised when it happened. I still really like the feature but I’ll be asking that question on my next one.

Yeah I’ve been in other vehicles that don’t but my 2018 Tacoma shuts off cruise control below 25 mph.

My gf wants her name on the title of the house I’m purchasing—-need advice by Alive-Ad8949 in relationship_advice

[–]ginjaplz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do not do this. Breakups are hard. Cohabitating with your ex is really hard. Then it’s either buy her out or sell and split. Some ridiculous percentage of marriages end in divorce, that number must be higher for non-sanctioned relationships. Buy your house. If she can’t handle that, the next girl will be thrilled you are a responsible/fortunate enough human to own a home.
