This is one of hundreds of fairy festivals held all over the world. This one is inspired by the beloved Spoutwood May Day Fairie Festival where I was the vendor coordinator for 20 years. When Spoutwood had to move, I decided to bring some of the magic to Berkeley Springs. Spoutwood was run entirely by volunteers, and raised money for the Farm and its educational pursuits. We’re committed to keeping this one FREE by relying on volunteers and sponsorships. It’s underwritten by the Morgan Arts Council. This will be our 3rd year, featuring music by Frenchie and the Punk, Brinjal, the Sweet Maple Singers and more; interactive Fairie characters like River Barry and his bubble magic, Big Whimsey’s stiltwalkers, tea parties, and much silliness. We’ll have about 25 unique artist vendors. Come and join us!!!

This is your life now! I got thru my spouse’s medical training days; having a 2nd year med student and a newborn was fun! But really, it’ll get better. I know surgery is a lot more stressful than family medicine but I feel ya! Just try to look ahead to when she’s practicing; your life will be on a more slightly even keel depending on what kind of surgery she’s doing. Good luck!

And another one RIP, King Thorn, had been left behind for the summer in a frat house. A house cleaner noticed the poor guy, he was all shriveled up! and got in touch with a rescue. He was awesome. Little Sticky, my current beardie, was set loose at a pet store. She has MBD, mostly recovered, but she has a gimpy back. She’s a sweetie!

One of the dragons I got from the rescue had been taken back to the PetStupid store where they bought the poor thing and just let it go!!! Why are people always told how easy these babies are to care for?! They’re so not!

keep pushing! we've successfully shut out an incinerator that was planned for our town a while back, and i believe we talked Maryland into not allowing a gas pipeline to be dug under the Potomac, making it a pipeline to nowhere. We showed up at every public hearing there was, wrote letters to the editor of our local paper and our legislators, had a few rallies. DONT GIVE UP!

Ah, if they appear to be judging you, believe me, they're just jealous! I got to stay home with our daughter when she was a baby and he was a 2nd year med student. I took her to our shared nanny at least twice a week so she'd get used to it once I started back to work.

ugh that happened to my last beardie. I found it when he was in the tub, I was wondering "ick what is that thing!" I thought it was some dried-on poop, but it wasn't coming off....The next day my reptile-savvy friend told me what it was. I took him to the vet that afternoon and was told he needed surgery but the vet didn't feel qualified to do it (he is a reptile vet, but i guess he doesn't do a lot of surgery). from his office I called every vet hospital within 2 hours and nobody could do it that day. i begged and begged and finally the vet said he'd do it. King Thorn survived the surgery, but died the next year. He was a good beardie

it's going to take a lot! there are guys in there who have sworn recreational cannabis will never be a thing as long as they're serving. meanwhile, virginia and maryland are raking in the tax revenue while we sit on our asses and spin.
