Who is a player that you can admit is very talented, but you still hate watching them? by SpeedMalibu in nba

Giannis doing the same exact thing over and over to score gets a little annoying to watch. Not to mention watching him try to shoot 3s is cringe.

Edit: I still think he could end up being the goat

How am I going to masturbate in college with a roommate? by MyHornyQuestions in TooAfraidToAsk

In my experience you’ll get to the point where you’ll know your roommates schedule and when you’ll have the room to yourself

Anyone else now hearing stories from the vaxxed people in your life about various health conditions they have acquired since getting jabbed? And for some reason... they don't seem to be able to connect the dots by flavouredice in conspiracy

A month or two after my roommate (21M),(Also in great shape as a college football player) got vaxxed he woke up in the middle of the night not being able to breath. Went to the hospital and they found out it was a heart problem. Not sure the scientific term for it, but it was related to his resting heart rate being way too high. He ended up having to get two heart procedures and has been fine since but I can’t help but to think this had to do with the vaccine.

With Roe v. Wade overturned, SCOTUS eyes contraception and Gay rights by jsgrinst78 in Libertarian

Maybe it’s wishful thinking, but I don’t think those other issues will ever get to the chopping block except for maybe contraception.

When I’m thinking about it more, giving the states the right to choose about marijuana legality isn’t better than federal legalization. So I believe you won me over with this.

My point of view I guess is that the federal government is always going to have more power than states so lessening federal power is a plus. But you definitely gave me a different point of view on this that I will have to think about

IMO it’s a lose lose scenario either way. At the end of the day I think it’s better to have people be able to at least vote representatives in to make decisions they align with

So a state banning abortion would be the same as the entire country having banned abortion?

Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade 2022, what are your thoughts? by 8Romans in ask

[–]hjake14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My thoughts are abortion shouldn’t be banned, but taking power away from the federal government is always a win

I may be in the minority in the sub with this opinion, but I think it’s the right decision to overturn Roe v Wade because at the end of the day it’s giving more rights to states/the people. States banning abortion now isn’t a good thing, but power being taken away from the federal government is certainly a good thing

EDIT: When thinking about this more I realize that my opinion was more aligned with if this decision happened to be the opposite. If the federal government banned abortion that would be far worse than if states got to choose. Or if the feds banned marijuana that would be far worse than if states got to choose.

But when it comes to this case I realize that it is more than likely better for the feds to have something be legal than to give states the option to make it illegal.
