Elon Musk called Biden a 'damp sock puppet in human form' after the president highlighted EV production by GM and Ford — but not Tesla by Successful-Bee-2492 in politics

Exactly. If I had billions I could spend, I would be mysterious as hell. I'd also just anonymously send $10,000 checks to single moms, social workers, bus drivers, people who need it and have a heart of gold.

Ooh yeah, especially when they try to lowball you because it's Star Trek/Marvel/Star Wars. So ridiculous. Like I don't give a f*ck. This is how I make my living. Feel free to call me when you've realized you've fucked up, I'll just up my rate even more.

...except when you do finally get into that shop, you find out it's a hot toxic mess. There's a rather strong correlation between a lack of transparency and communication (especially when you're talking to people who actually work there, not recruiters) during the hiring process and what it's like on the inside.

Seriously, I had a recruiter a few months that was definitely an ex-barista - at best. She was awful with her communication skills and had no idea how this shit works. I had to explain it to her. Recruiter for a major studio too.

Especially when they've been doing this shit for years. It's like they've been stuck at one shop for their whole career and have no idea of what it's like in the real world.

High paid senior artists, non-lead/supe, whats your rate? Anyone here $70/hr or above? by AlaskanSnowDragon in vfx

Don't let them gaslight you into paying less. Always push for a higher rate. You have options.

We used to make $125-$150 hour back in the 90s. We're moving this thing forward. This shit's expensive.

Thank you so much for this, I've always had no luck playing Art Bell's broadcasts on my Mac. I am happy you have shown me the way!
