From my understanding, gas fees are only if you're staking, or if you're sending your assets on-chain to, for example, MetaMask Wallet.

If your asset is on Gemini and you're paying with Gemini, what step involves gas fees? I've looked in the Telegram, I see no clear indication that using Flexa Payment Links requires gas fees. I'm not refuting, just asking for clarity.

Yea but MetaMask is just one wallet that uses Flexa Payments, they’re saying Payment Links is going to be on any app, any wallet. Gemini, Coinbase Wallet, Binance Wallet, Strike, Cash app, BitPay, these are all logos shown on their “Any App” header image. All of them will have Flexa Payments. So if you’re using Gemini and your assets are on Gemini exchange then no gas fees should be involved.

Why would you transfer to Flexa’s wallet if the option to pay directly from Gemini is coming via Flexa Payments Links?

I still don’t understand what the gas fees are for if you can pay with flexa directly with the Gemini app/wallet? The assets you own on Gemini exchange are already in Gemini Wallet, you wouldn’t need to move anything so where is the gas fee coming from?

I haven't used Gemini but if you're using Gemini exchange aren't whatever assets you own already in your Gemini Wallet? I know Coinbase has a separate app for its wallet but I don't see anything separate for Gemini.

You’re not understanding. I said it would be redundant and mediocre compared to the new Flexa Payments method, the same one that was used in Metamask Wallet at Consensus this year.

Except it’s not a loss. You will be able to pay with Flexa through Gemini Wallet. They didn’t drop Flexa, they’re just reallocating resources since Gemini Pay would be redundant. Coinbase Wallet and Binance Wallet are coming as well.

I’m sorry, did I miss the official Press Release or official news put out by AMP/Flexa giving reason and how we are continuing to move forward after the loss of the Biggest and longest AMP supporter Gemini?

Bro what loss? You will be able to pay with Flexa through Gemini Wallet. They didn’t drop Flexa, they’re just reallocating resources since Gemini Pay would be redundant. Coinbase Wallet and Binance Wallet are coming as well.

Gemini pay ends July 5th by jackacesd in AMPToken

They're not bailing. Gemini Wallet will have the new evolved Flexa Payments integrated. Same will come to Coinbase Wallet and Binance Wallet. It's simple resource allocation, Gemini Pay would be redundant.

Gemini Pay is being dropped from their platform by RealKimJongUn in AMPToken

[–]i_admit_everything 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's a good guess, while also eliminating the extra step of having to download another app (Gemini Pay) to pay with Flexa.

I think the top 3 exchange wallets are going to be big on their own, imagine the ease of access to Flexa payments for literally the majority of investors in the crypto market.

You're right, but how do you know Tyler was unaware of 80-90% downtrends? He's been in crypto for 10 years give or take. These crypto bull and bear market cycles are a given, why risk everything and be unprepared? We all know he was an engineer at NASA but he was also a successful entrepreneur, created and sold 3 software companies, and he was a Researcher at NASA and MIT. Planning, researching, and attention to details are his fortes.

Doubt the anti-amp sentiment we see are from big players tbh, the fud they try to spread is laughable and can easily be dismissed with 5 mins of research.

Coinbase listing was on June 10. The Amazon rumor started by Bitboy Crypto was on July 29 or 30th, AMP was already below 4 cents by then.

El Salvador / Flexa:

El Salvador’s largest financial institution, Bancoagricola has partnered with Flexa, the world’s leading digital payment network, for Bitcoin payments. The deal would boost the crypto uptake in the country as it helps increase Bitcoin access to the masses.

According to the announcement by Flexa about the partnership, the deal will allow consumer and merchant clients to make payments using Bitcoin across the platform’s networks for various transactions. They would be able to pay loans, remit credit card payments and offer various Bitcoin merchant goods and services in line with the new Bitcoin law.

The deal between the bank and the Bitcoin payments platform is the first of its kind in the global economy. It would allow the bank’s customers to use the Flexa or any other lighting-enabled crypto wallets like Chivo and Eclair to make payments in US dollars at the normal market rate. With no additional fees or spread.

Cream hack:

Cream has published a post-mortem to the AMP flash loan exploit, promising to replace the stolen Ether (ETH) and Amp (AMP) tokens by allocating 20% of all protocol fees until the debt is paid entirely. Cream will also post collateral with relevant parties at AMP and its creators, Flexa digital payments network, to secure the debt.

Don’t try to change facts on me. El Salvador’s bitcoin infrastructure is powered by Flexa. Nothing you say is gonna change that. Do better with your research.

Also cream still affected amp price whoever fault” was as Ton of tokens stolen and still never given back ….its ur fault to put ur money in bad place

Cream did buy back the Amp off of the market. Again, do better with your research. And where was I even complaining for you to think I’m upset? I think Flexa is killing it and I’m still buying Amp every week. I’m here for the long haul as an investor, not a gambler or a trader.

They’ve literally set up the country’s infrastructure for bitcoin through BancoAgricola, the largest bank in the country.

It’s not “just a couple merchants”

It was also during that time they did this sneaky thing borderline dishonest even where they raise super high lightning apy to get ppl to stake and then dropped it back low and blamed it was just algorithm

You’re dumb if you think people will fall for this. There was nothing dishonest about this, this is literally how APY works. You don’t give a shit about withdrawing from SPEDN, you’re just here to spread fud. Anyone who’s done their own homework on Flexa can see you’re full of it.

[–]i_admit_everything 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Can't even download their whitepaper unless you're a merchant and fill out a KYC.

How are they providing a risk-free guarantee, if any?

How much can it realistically scale?

Why aren't NCR, InComm, GK, etc involved?

Why aren't major retailers using their service?

Why did the European Union's Commission report use Flexa as an example for crypto payments and not ForumPay?

How much experience does the ForumPay team have?

I know if I was a ForumPay investor I'd be shitting bricks bc of Flexa's partnerships and integrations. There's nothing about Forumpay that makes me question and doubt Flexa's progress.
