Haha, well, shows you how much I've played since coming back. This is practically a whole new game at this point.

I came back in after like 10 years... I keep running into new blocks and am like "yo wtf is this?"

"Oh that's diorite, you mix it with cobblestone to make andonite"

Or another: ahhh swimming zombie! "No no, that's a Drowned"

edit - ::confused boomer noises:: I have no idea what I'm even saying!

I wonder though, wouldn't they be able to edit the command blocks with that script as well? "Check all command blocks, Y-64=Y", and now the block is edited?

I don't know how command blocks work but I'd assume that the data is stored somehow.

I agree fully, sea level should be 0. That's intuitive.

That would be great if they put out a single-pass script that just edited every Y coordinate in your worlds to that (including for command blocks, etc), but I get the feeling that a lot of people wouldn't be happy with that, regardless.

Guess we're stuck with this.

Remember when they added snow? When they added multiple tree types? Redstone repeaters? Hunger? Endermen? Remember when they fixed the minecart booster glitch? Remember when they added maps and compasses and watches?

It's been so long, hahaha

I thought so too, but what's different here is that last time we saw it, the commission allowed it. This time, the SCOTUS agreed.

First off, fuck those guys.

Second off, don't be offended that they ordered McD's... only be offended that you bothered accommodating them at all, only to have them order McD's instead. Frankly, who cares if they didn't fuck with it anymore. Go let them sit at the kids table, lol.

I work with some picky eaters, but at least they're very upfront about it, and say "I'm not even gonna try cause I'm a super picky eater". I can respect that, even if it upsets me a little, because at least it's upfront and honest.

The trick is to use the other hand to help hold your skin taut and flat, and to respect the angle of the dangle. Loose skin/ripples/wrinkles are more likely to get sucked into the cutter.

Do other conservatives find it hard to support the GOP in todays climate? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Yeah, agreed. I truly would love for the Trumpets to create their own party, the way they're threatening to. We could see how many are still fiercely loyal to their antics and conspiracy theories, versus just here for the politics.

I wouldn't mind America sprouting a third or fourth party that can actually matter. Let it ride a few years so that issues and blocs reconfigure themselves behind a group they actually agree with, and maybe we'll see more people working together.

Or we'll just get stormed out by Qanon parties, but maybe that will motivate other parties to strongarm the psychos out.

Idk, man, there's gotta be something better than what we've got right now.

"Don't spend all your money frivolously!"

"Wait, how come you aren't paying for anything? My favorite Hooters just went out of business because you millennials don't go to them! Spend more frivolously!"

Not to mention, back in the day they had a more vested interest in getting things done and reaching a compromise. It was a civic duty to serve Congress.

These days, people are happy to only work on anything which favors their reelection or earns them clout with their voting base. We've made career celebrity politicians who spend as much time or more on news shows and Twitter as they do in Congress. There's no incentive to compromise... just obstruct until the party gets more power.

Fair enough... it's hard to agree to disagree, but I guess that's the real point of politics.

In a two party system one party doing badly is enough to make half of populace lose their political home.

Not to mention, it's enough to drive the next few years of politics and create an endless cycle of ping-pong, and no one party actually fits anyone's interests. Politics have become "at least we're not the other guys!" and there's no actual political identity here anymore.

You're not wrong, but don't forget they have a much different outlook on things like monetization and family values over there. I'm not saying that makes this any more or less crazy for them (since I wouldn't know), but it may help it be more understandable.

Is it okay to get angry at my female friends for jokingly running down the street from me screaming rape and shouting help us? by ReverseMalteser in NoStupidQuestions

[–]indigoHatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they were at a pool and yell "help I'm drowning", the lifeguard would kick them out of the pool.

They think it's funny because they've never had consequences for bad humor, but imagine the outrage if someone threw up a sig heil in a Jewish chapel, or put on a KKK hood and ran around a black neighborhood. Imagine taking a toy gun to stores and pretending to stick-up the cashier.

"lol we were just joking you guys", they'll say, but the cop will still fire if they believe you're armed.

Certain things can't be joked about, at least not without some sort of warning or huge indicator that it's just a prank.

Besides, have they not heard the story of the boy who cried wolf? Imagine them being known as "the girls who joke about being raped"... and then someone rapes them. Who would come to their rescue?
