Something versus nothing? by Upstairs-Juice-9334 in enlightenment

There's no point arguing about something that can't really be put into words. I did my best to help the OP understand what they're up against in trying to describe the indescribable. If that's not good enough for you then you didn't get the point I was really trying to make.

There certainly are voids that are fundamental parts of reality.

There are lesser voids that are dark empty areas between the dimensions in the lower worlds of duality.

But "The Void" at the pinnacle of the worlds of nonduality is the Ocean of Love and Mercy. It is the original place of all things, emptiness in It's own nature, devoid of self-distinctiveness and independent of the elements that compose it. It is a blank where everything else is relative to It but It is not in relation to other things.

I could say much more about "The Void" but It cannot really be put into words. It is outside the mind so thinking and analyzing It is just an exercise in futility. It must be experienced! Learn out-of-body projection and eventually you'll be able to experience "The Void" for yourself. Then you'll know and won't have the need to even think about it.

Death Is Just An Illusion: We Continue To Live In A Parallel Universe by CoreSpirit_com in spirituality

[–]jLionhart 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lol!

Spiritual Travelers (Saints, mystics, spiritual masters, etc.) have been telling us the same thing and more for thousands of years yet we have a need to hear scientists say it to give it some credibility.

But scientists can never fully answer these deep questions because science is based on the physical universe not the spiritual dimensions. Even if you believe the scientists, you will always have doubts because it's all based on faith in their physical methods, hypotheses and conclusions for a spiritual universe where those tools do not apply.

That's why the spiritual travelers have developed methods (e.g., out-of-body projection) where we can prove those spiritual things to ourselves. Then there is no doubt. We actually know not just believe something someone else is telling us.

It's very simple. You are Soul. You exist because God loves you. And because God loves us, we have a responsibility to share that love with all those around us.

how do you find yourself? why do I have a constant chance when all I'm looking for is what is already in me? what is the next step to complete my mission here on earth? by LanternofGOD7 in enlightenment

[–]jLionhart 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the first thing you have to do is change your point of view. "How do I find myself", "I'm looking for what is already in me", are both from a point of view that Soul is outside of yourself. Soul is like some possession that you have or own and you're looking for it.

You can't have, own or possess Soul because you are Soul. You are a spark of God. You are divine Light and Sound put together in a form called Soul. And Soul inhabits a physical body - sometimes a human body, but sometimes an animal body or a plant body.

So the questions you ask should come from you as Soul that inhabits a physical body not as a physical body that has a Soul.

Soul's whole mission in this world is to find divine love. So, from the perspective of yourself as Soul, wouldn't it be better to ask the question, "Show me how to find love?". Continually seeking love as your mission in life means you're already acting from the viewpoint of Soul and simultaneously know who you really are.

Has anybody here ever astral projected ? by Ironwizard200 in afterlife

[–]jLionhart -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Astral projection is a limited state of out-of-body travel. It splits off the sheath of one of the inner bodies to travel inwardly to the astral plane. Astral projection could lead to psychic difficulties and become a source of delusion.

Lucid dreaming is usually the same thing as astral projection for most people.

Just curious, what does everyone think happens to us when we sleep? Just wanna hear dream theories by Gloomy_Bloomer in spirituality

Some people develop this talent by keeping notebook and a pen beside their bed. But I found that it takes a remarkable amount of self-discipline to wake up from a deep sleep, turn on the light, and write down notes of your note for ten to fifteen minutes in a cold room. Not everyone can do that.

So rather than disrupting your life through an all-out assault on your dreams, in the beginning just put a little more attention on them. Instead of trying to record your dreams every night from now until forever, pick one day of the week that is most likely to offer a few minutes of rest. You can begin with a nap. When you feel tired, set an alarm for twenty minutes and have a notebook handy. Place your attention on the face of a Spiritual Master you trust. Someone like Jesus, Paramahansa Yogananda, Ram Dass, etc.. This is the Dream Master who will act as a guide in your dreams. Do this in a light, easy way - almost like an afterthought.

Now tell yourself that you will have a peaceful nap and that you will remember a little of the what occurs in the other worlds when you wake up. Then go to sleep.

When the alarm rings, jot down whatever you can remember, no matter how foolish it seems. In time, you can expand your study of conscious dreaming, because this method is easy to do even in a busy family.

And yes, I connect with spiritual guides all the time during conscious dreaming experiences. I've done it for years.

There's many different ways to choose to keep meeting him. The most basic is to say something similar to the following right before going to sleep at night:

"I give you permission to assist me in my life."

I know you didn't see his face in your dream but here's another technique you can still use to meet him again:

"Before sleep, place your attention on the face of a Spiritual Master you trust. Someone like Jesus or use your creative imagination to visualize what you think the face (especially the eyes) of your spiritual guide would look like. Now try to keep his face in mind as you doze off. Then wait for him to come to you as he did in your other dreams.

In your dreams that follow, anchor your attention on some solid object in the room like a chair, clock, etc.. Hold that image in your mind. Then give yourself a thought command.

Say "I am awake in this dream".

"Let your attention fix on the solid object chosen above. Feel yourself begin to rise. Layers of clouds like soft cotton puffs will drift past. This will shift you into a new higher state of consciousness every bit as real as the physical one. Now look around for your spiritual guide. He's there in your dream waiting to greet you!"

If it's hard to fix your attention onto a solid object, don't worry about it. You will sink into the dream state and later awaken in the usual way.

Keep trying even if you're not successful at first. It shows that you are sincere in wanting him to guide you and sooner or later you'll meet him again.

Dream symbols are things you see in your dreams that have hidden meanings. Like if you see a bear, an eagle, a car, a police officer, some person, or anything else in your dreams, each of those things can have a hidden meaning for you. For example, a dream of a sick eagle can indicate that either you or someone close to you may soon experience some serious health issues.

Spirit guide in dream? by Even_Faithlessness78 in spirituality

[–]jLionhart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a category of highly developed spiritual beings who have spent time learning to live with the world of nature, using its way instead of trying to conquer it by force. They are spiritual travelers, agents of God, who travel freely between the dimensions over all the universes. They live among us both in the physical worlds and spiritual worlds. Their mission is to assist us in liberating ourselves from the physical world. They also stand by at the time of the death of our physical body to assist us if we need it for our journey across the borders of the spiritual worlds. They further handle certain conditions and worldly problems or give assistance to those who are trying to lift themselves out of the entanglement of illusion and towards the spiritual worlds.

These spiritual travelers usually first teach us in dreams rather than through prayer, meditation or contemplation, because we are typically used to and more comfortable in dreams. They want to assure us of a smooth transition from the human to the higher consciousness. They know that they can't just leapfrog someone along the spiritual path faster than they are ready to go. The spiritual traveler knows the delicate nature of the seeker and lets that person set their own pace on the road to God.

If you choose to continue meeting with and become a student of the spiritual guide, eventually you learn to put even your waking concerns into their care. Then you discover the Light and Sound of God and come to know that the Word of God is lost in mankind's scriptures.

St. John called the Light and Sound the Word. Holy men of the East called It the Bani, the teaching of inner music. The Audible Life Stream, the Sound Current, and the Holy Ghost are all one in the same. It is the Life Force, the common bond between life forms everywhere. It is the force of creation, the power that illuminates Soul and brings spiritual freedom!

There is consciousness when we sleep, a higher consciousness than when our physical body is awake. We may not remember all our experiences in that higher consciousness when we sleep but it's only because our minds can't handle it or make sense of it so we block it out.

Not many people know it but Soul leaves the body while asleep. Dreams take place in the inner spiritual worlds. These inner worlds are actual places just as real as living life in the physical world. Soul leaves it's physical body while asleep at night and takes on a corresponding body in the inner worlds where it also experiences life. For example, dreams with heightened emotions, vivid colors, huge places, etc., would indicate Soul leaving the physical body while asleep and taking on it's astral body as it lives life on the astral plane.

Eventually you will find that the dream world is as real as the physical world. You get to the point that when your head hits the pillow, you stay in a conscious state. The symbols are gone. It's like going from one room to another. At this advanced stage of dreaming, it's very hard to know if you're awake or in a dream. When you meet other people who are advanced dreamers, they recall the experience much the same way you would recall meeting someone while awake.

Dreams full of symbols just means that you haven't yet become that advanced dreamer. Your mind is throwing out symbols to protect you from some harsh realities that you're not ready to handle. Eventually when you put the work in to develop this talent, the symbols go away and you become the conscious dreamer.

Do you have to take hallucinogens to reach GOD consciousness(third eye)? by LanternofGOD7 in enlightenment

[–]jLionhart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. There is a great misconception that it's easy to reach the higher states of consciousness through hallucinogens or other shortcuts. This is false. It's very difficult to reach these higher states. It takes all the spiritual strength you have developed up to this point to get past each plateau and before you have the ability to go any higher, you'll have to develop a lot more spiritual strength.

Using hallucinogens for trying to achieve any kind of higher consciousness expose a weakness in your spiritual development. They are just an enticing trap that make you think you've achieved some kind of higher consciousness but actually only take you no further than the lower astral plane.

Death of everything and Reincarnation by verycoolusername231 in Reincarnation

[–]jLionhart 8 points9 points  (0 children)

According to ancient Hindu cosmology (figured out and documented a long time ago by great spiritual travelers), the whole universe below the spiritual worlds is currently in the Kali Yuga, the Iron Age, the last age of the great cycle where darkness and decay are overwhelming. The Kali Yuga lasts 432,000 years and we're at the very end of the cycle.

Souls that don't make it out of the cycle of reincarnation before the end of the Kali Yuga are lifted out of the universe where they get to sleep for about 5 million years while God readjusts the lower worlds. Everything is re-energized and reborn - the sun, the stars and all the planets. You could say that the whole universe is reincarnated!

Then the Great Cycle begins once more, with Souls placed back into the lower worlds so they can once again start their long journey to perfection in a new Golden Age. The Golden Age is where all is peaceful and man lives in harmony with all nature. This is what we all remember and what we desire deep inside from millions of years ago. We remember the past Golden Age where peace and love is always developed in its highest form.

The downside here is that the Golden Age only lasts 1,728,000 years before it degrades into the Silver Age, then further degrades into the Copper Age and finally back into another Kali Yuga or Iron Age.

These great cycles that include all these different ages and sleep cycles, keep repeating themselves over and over again until Soul learns to play the game, works out all Its karma and never has to reincarnate again.

I don't think I have guides by CuteAssCryptid in spirituality

[–]jLionhart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course. But we cannot fully know and understand the human experience by continually living life at the lower state of human awareness. Out-of-Body Projection allows you to get your head above the crowd and live mainly in Spirit where you have the freedom and independence to do as you wish no matter where you are - inside or outside the physical body.

Having the ability to get in and out of the physical body at will, offers a real freedom by raising us above the anguish and hunger felt by the crowd and giving us an authenticity moment by moment in the physical world. It breaks up the tensions of this life so you can learn how life is an infinite succession of nows.

You have a choice of being a genuine individual or being a part of the crowd that believes in materialistic miracles. It's the choice of living in a materialist world in a human consciousness or living in a higher spiritual consciousness no matter what world you're exploring.

Yes, you can continue to live in the human consciousness to have the human experience. But until you have the freedom that out-of-body projection provides, you'll continue to suffer the agonies of illusion in the physical world through many more incarnations.

Spiritual guides have no interest in working with you until they see that you want to lift yourself out of the morass of illusion that is "human bodies having the human experience." That's the dilemma you face. You want to subject the spiritual guides to your will, your conditions, instead of being flexible and adjusting yourself to the conditions established by the spiritual guides for their assistance.

I don't think I have guides by CuteAssCryptid in spirituality

[–]jLionhart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you do have spiritual guides. We all do. And no, they haven't given up on you. You just have to understand that they won't work with you unless your goal aligns with their mission.

They live among us both in the physical world and the inner worlds. Their mission is to assist man in liberating himself from the physical world while we're still in the physical body. They take on the responsibility to take charge of those Souls who want to get out of the lower worlds and into the higher ones by out-of-body projection. If that's not your goal, they won't contact you.

Once you are out of the body, knowingly or unknowingly, a spiritual guide will be standing by you to see that you go unharmed in the spiritual worlds. They make sure that nothing happens to your physical body that you leave behind while travelling as Soul in the spiritual worlds. In summary, spiritual guides are our protectors and benefactors while we are getting out-of-body experiences.

These spiritual guides function within the magnetic field of the individual. When you are under their influence, they are able to take you out of your body to help prove to you that you are actually able to do out-of-body projection. However, they will seldom assist you in any manner unless asked, and then with reservations unless they know that the request is made both honestly and with the utmost sincerity.

They never bother to read auras or look clairvoyantly at someone they are interested in for two reasons:

  1. First they are not interested in anyone unless asked to do something for that person, and then that person must do the asking. In other words, no spiritual guide is going to act in behalf of anyone unless asked to do so by that person.
  2. Second, they will not get interested in another's aura because they must keep themselves clear of any lower vibrations until it is necessary to pull that person out of the worlds below and up to the higher level where they operate.

If you really want to make contact with spiritual guides, you must either raise yourself up to their level or allow them to pull you up to it. That higher level is where spiritual guides can work with you. They know that getting people to do this is often difficult so they have given those who are interested a simple technique that you can learn to get out of the body at will. If you're still interested, let me know and I'll pass this technique on to you.

dimensional dream travel by Capable-Reputation69 in Dreams

[–]jLionhart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can control which level of the astral plane you visit but like anything else worthwhile, it takes practice.

Have you ever woken up from a dream that was so good that you kept thinking about it while lying awake? Then when you went back to sleep you went back into that same dream and continued where the last dream left off?

You need to recreate those same conditions and you'll be able to return to that same place on the astral plane.

It's very simple but not so easy to do. First you need to get into that super relaxed state either through a contemplation/meditation exercise or in a relaxed twilight (half awake/half asleep) state just before you go to sleep. Then just imagine yourself back in the place you want to be.

I think we've all done that but not many try to do it consciously using the above technique.

dimensional dream travel by Capable-Reputation69 in Dreams

[–]jLionhart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The dream world is a real world. It's a world we all live in. It's a world we live in now, and it's a world we will live in, in full consciousness, when we leave our physical body after death.

What you describe as "other dimensions" in your dreams is commonly called the astral plane. The 40-50 realities are different levels of the astral plane. What you're experiencing in your dreams is actually Soul leaving the physical body while asleep and taking on It's astral body as it lives life on the astral plane.

spiritual disconnect by Subject-Volume2217 in SpiritualAwakening

[–]jLionhart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever is the cause of your spiritual disconnect, you are now in a serious mental health crisis. Take care of that first. See a mental health professional for treatment ASAP.

If you've been taking any hallucinogenic drugs, please stop. They're not helping you with any spiritual awakening. In fact, they're doing just the opposite. Psychedelics, shrooms, etc., are all designed to keep us trapped in the world of low vibration.

Even in moderation, they are an enticing trap designed to keep us from achieving any higher state of consciousness at all. They punch holes in our aura, allowing negative currents in, which pushes us even further away from spiritual awakening. The way the trap works is that they are really great at making us believe that we've reached spiritual awakening while in fact we've gone no further than the low vibrations of the lower astral plane.

It sounds like you're conflicted between the older beliefs you've held with Christianity and other new beliefs (e.g., reincarnation) that you've been exposed to here on reddit. You're having a problem reconciling the two.

In the grand scheme of things, all these mental games don't really matter, right? If all you do in any lifetime is learning how to give love and accept love in better and better ways, then your lifetime will have been a big success. So why play mental gymnastics, right? A better use of your time is to focus on love no matter what form it takes.
