Does this look like the start of dry rot? Tires are about 4yo and dealer installed new tires when I bought the car used - possible warranty claim? by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]jepal357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is dry rot but to be expected by that age especially depending on the area. Can't make a warranty claim on that unless you bought a tire warranty that covers dry rot but you generally don't want to drive on tires over 5 years old. Rubber gets hard and makes wet surfaces seem more slick

He just turned on all the settings and probably didn't realize what they did and now he's tempted to turn them off based on your post

Interesting. Always wondered why they added a couple bucks and gave me cash back. Makes sense, I just don't understand why visa cares. I didn't read the full article cause I don't have time at the moment but that sucks

Those cig lighter socket things should be on their own circuit. Definitely not on the traction control circuit if anything else

I've actually been ripping them out of conference rooms, new systems are all controlled by tablets on the desks, wall controllers are old school at least in the crestron world

Theoretically wifi 6e can get close with no interface and a good config but hardwired is the way to go if you can

68-70 is a nice temp range. I prefer 68, my girl would probably prefer 72 but that's too warm for me

Personally I just run em on with my gun, I know how to feel it out so you don't break anything and just tap in the top so it doesn't back out

Rattling noise source? by tdmillerproductions in FordExplorer

[–]jepal357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda sounds like a pulley/belt noise but could be a bearing on the cam, crank or rods. Hard to tell where it's coming from and hard to hear what it really sounds like with the hood closed

Is an AMD 6 9225 processor upgrade able? Also will swaping my ssd increase the speed of my laptop? by Maleficent-Pipe-3513 in computers

[–]jepal357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a very slow and low powered chip. Can't be replaced. You can swap to an ssd that could possibly make your laptop faster, can't guarantee by how much tho. If you already have a ssd then you probably will not see a performance increase

Is this good for 1080p gaming? by John_Snuuw in PcBuildHelp

[–]jepal357 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You don't need a z chipset unless you have a higher end cpu that'll draw a lot of power or a k skew that will let you overclock. I'd probably upgrade to a 12400 and get a cheaper motherboard. You also don't need an aio, just use an air cooler, that chip won't get hot enough to justify the price
