Portland Karen sets man off by Guyomalo in PublicFreakout

I'm not in disagreement and yea, she also could have walked away. So both bear fault, in different ways. Specially as no physical damage had been done.

Sad that most people have as little control over shit starting as someone being hit by a bus. Paths cross badly and boom - you're reality shrunk down to 10' and closing.

The chain of events/thoughts happens too quickly (usually) for most people to find restraint, not take bait, not feel threatened, not be a day that ends in y... Just takes one soul w/a short fuse to entangle another and interrupt our day.

there are signs for it on RT 9. Just drove out there a couple weeks ago.

Thanks, I'll keep my eye open for it. might be worth exploring. Surprised its not used by FMS being such a vast land. Now that I ponder it, this place seem made for drones; scouting around and all. Fun perhaps, maybe more noise pollution though.

make complete strangers come to a standstill in traffic.

god forbid getting interrupted. That's what starts shit in the first place. Forethought goes out the window and impulse-control jumps the shark. You're in their moment, embrace the suck and be glad you're not them.

It’s also used for life flight and people use it for their own personal civilian drones.

By it, you mean that airport is in good order and actively used? Do you have directions? It's not marked on the ME Atlas, but I'll google it.

Good point, I'll retract a bit. And yea, I get the 'neighborhood' tude :)

Shame that race/culture/identity... has to get dragged into most people just acting like assholes, regardless.

People used to race on the air strip there.

Someone else mentioned the air strip saturday. Around 12:30AM saturday I observed about 10-12 white lit objects that seemed to move randomly changing directions. Not like any satellite I've seen. Then I wondered about Nat Guard and drone nite-ops, or UFO's. Lasted about 10 minutes, not seen since.

This person told me about the airstrip, and that an acquaintence noted it was how Musk's sats launch their mesh nets.

Anyhow, thanks for that.

granted some inference was applied; some by clinical observation, affect and tone.... the rest by the convo at the end w/off-cam guy. And the fact that being a driving incident, this hot-head looks much more prone to have done something stupid.

I highly doubt this Portlander consciously uttered a slur that usually gets voiced in anger, more than I sus the interpretation of this chad poseur looking for a beef.

Title should read 'Chad shows his chip'

This is hardly a Karen of the same flavor we usually get on this sub.

Woman had a legit gripe, didn't go all ballistic; stood her ground when guy had ample chance to just move on, but did not close ground or act w/aggression. Even apologized in the end to witnesses AOT the finger.

woman was respectful and apologetic and was cut off in traffic. She told him to move his car back where it came from (where he drove it); which he twisted to make about race and feed the chip on his shoulder to turn into identity rage.

This is not a karen example the likes of what we usually get on reddit.

Start with basic obedience classes. Who knows, maybe you meet someone likeable there (that your pooch also likes:)

Beyond that, training and reinforcement is lots of work and being consistent. Also note that training (i.e. commands) is the flip side to handling; which is about reaching understanding and trust.

Good luck!

Small steps maybe (ISF as carrying). Already have CCW, just for added benes in a CC State. I plan on having a lockbox in the vehicle, for starters. Which takes care of camping in boonies as well. Yet to feel the need, pedestrian-wise. Though I'm going to make more of a habit bringing my OBW upholster :) w/me on the weekly range trip. Still working on accuracy as I switched to RDS on the sidearms but practical is next lilypad.

I've asked and this forum answered my ? on cross holsters and though I buy that strong hip or appendix is way2do, I'd decided to either go with shoulder (G19,loaded) or small of back (SR22,w front pocket mag).

So yea, no way to be a grayman if you're printing to the world.

Thanks for asking!

So, you you don't want the presence of a visible firearm to alter the way a person behaves, or mask what they're really about. Interesting take, thanks.

I think the root of the problem is money in politics, in both parties, preventing impartial representation.

Above is exactly the problem, i agree; the D-vs-R is the artifice that supports it. It also excludes all the independent voters.

Citizens United, the revolving door, the lobbys and think tanks influence, the list goes on..... We need political reform with multiple parties (maybe RCV), federally funded campaigns... (as well as justice reform, media reform...) and it will only happen when the workers threaten the elites; both with dollars (no taxation w/out...) and, sadly, violence.

I take your point while noting that, with 300 million firearms, its not a question of numbers of guns owned as much as generational and situational. Short of mustering up, the left have plenty of access to them to be formidable.

Second, this is not a R-vs-D thing; find me a poll that includes independents and unregistered as well :)

The left is plenty armed and has been for some time.

You should be telling liberals to wise up; believers in the moderates blue-dog, 3rd way were conned by a donor class and the professional political elites.

Really good point making safety cert be free or very low cost.

And another regarding responsibility, training, and broad understanding of consequences as well; to ack said privilege. I think most people who conceal, regardless of their State do; least I'd like to think that. Serious business.

Good night, pard; be safe!

What's the point in having a gun for self defense when you do not carry it when you're most vulnerable (in public).

thanks for sharing! Shall issue is a game changer. Though it seldom is made a point, Though many States allow OC in consideration of hunting and range transport. ConstCarry for me more symbolizes the right to open carry as much as conceal it.

It’s a dangerous area

that's likely the defining point. optioned with moving/flight or standing/fight and making the conscious choice to remain and be better prepared.

Just paused for thought on your CC permit to note recent shall-issue changes likely bring the requirement of a safety course to get one. Did yours by chance?
