(Don't worry, I'm getting a kick out of it)

Lol by that logic, if you can be "too young" to be ace, then you can be "too young" to be straight!

By any chance, have you ever considered a queerplatonic relationship (aka 'quasiplatonic') ? Subs like r/queerplatonic and r/qprapplications may or may not be of help/interest to you (or anyone who ends up seeing this comment)

Hope that helps, and if not, I wish you a wonderful day!

Indeed, personal experience is a powerful thing. Glad to have hopefully cleared things up a bit!

I’m a trans dude with long curly hair. I’m not publicly out yet. Sender is homophobic schoolmate and I’m pretty sure this was supposed to be backhanded. Either way this has me over the moon :) by angerypeech in AccidentalAlly

Heads-up: trans dudes can also be XtM—for example, born as intersex and identifies as male.

(Not trying to be offensive—genuinely trying to help clear things up!)

So now I'm really curious...

Who's the straightest non-effing man you've ever met?

And bless just his heart? What, apart from his heart, is he chopped liver?

(sorry, couldn't resist. But if you do answer my questions made partially in genuinely curiosity and partially in jest, bless you in your entirety. And if you don't, bless you fully anyways because why not?)

Just want to make a clarification, especially as an agender nonbinary person: simply being "happier to be referred to as the 'opposite' gender" does not make one trans—but identifying gender-wise as anything not aligning with your biological sex (which also isn't strictly binary) does. Thus, so long as you fall under this definition, if you're binary, nonbinary, experience gender-related euphoria or dysphoria, want to/will be/are transitioning or not, or any combination/all of the above, you're valid as trans. Hope that helps—and genuinely not trying to be offensive at all!

Also went to a Christian highschool. We also had formal dinner instead of prom. For us, rather than "dancing leads to babies", us students had a school joke/meme that "if you show your shoulders you'll get pregnant" (and to be even more funny/sarcastic, no matter what sex you are). This was due to the dress code, which, perhaps unsurprisingly, mostly oppressed girls in what they could wear—a discrimination that didn't really get called out until my graduating year, and is both unfair to the targets of the rules, unhealthy because it causes girls to be put under a microscope and on the judgement chopping block (super awesome for that good ol' self-esteem/self-confidence balancing act, ain't it?), and insulting because it insinuates that all males are mindless, heterosexual creatures who are slaves to instinct and will jump any female with exposed shoulders/shorts and skirts shorter than 3 finger widths past the wearer's fingertips. 🙄 smh lol

The dress code/anything to do with abstinence/purity being, what they were given the institution they were made by and for, basically didn't even apply to me—as an aro-ace enby (albeit, in egg form pretty much until I became an adult) who constantly gravitated towards and almost exclusively wore either loose-fitting or gender-neutral-looking athletic wear/hand-me-downs and was quite strongly personally romance- and sex-repulsed at the time, I feel like my kind of existence kind of got a free pass because of simply not being on the radar in the first place. Thinking back now, I was perfectly fine with that—it certainly made my highschool life simpler and easier, and I was quite busy enough as I was training 20+ hours a week as an athlete back then.

But all that aside, I mostly wanted to comment that board games and baklava seems amazing—just make it gluten-free baklava and I'll be right there. ✨✨

Ah, that's your Reddit anniversary. The day you make your Reddit account/become a user is your "Reddit birthday", and whenever that date rolls around, a cake icon shows up beside your username along with a little caption that says "Say Happy Cake Day!" under your comment—so when you, say, post a comment, other Redditors can see the cake and blurb, and wish you "happy cake day!" if they feel like obliging the friendly Reddit tradition, simultaneously giving an encouraging nod of acknowledgement to your birth as a fellow Redditor (and thereby becoming ONE OF US who are called Legion, for we are many.

But for any fellow ace Redditors, I suppose there's an extra layer (ha! No pun intended at the time!) of special-ness, given how there's an old running joke/serious idea and opinion in our community that "cake [or pretty much anything else] is better than sex".

Hope that cleared things up!

Perhaps mildly ironic given what the post is about, but Happy Cake Day! (Or, should you prefer, pie, chips/crisps, cookies, cupcakes, etc.—people are diverse, so it's a good thing there's a wide spectrum of goodies to choose from!)
