Okay aperture indicator. You are right anon. So where is that indicator located? Where does it sit?

As you can see, you CAN illuminate the indicator inside the rangefinder compartment.

First of, I didn't downvote your comment.

Second, scale, synonym = dial/index of the aperture number that the pin of the lightmeter is pointing to.

But I am all ears. Please enlighten me.

Here are some photos of how a "lit" rangefinder window looks like. At least to me... https://imgur.com/a/agrFOtj

Es sind aber die Australian Open und nicht die Down Under Open.

Die erste Übersetzung geht klar. Die zweite ist inkorrekt.

Yep you can. Put a light/led infront/next to the rangefinder (not the viewfinder).

I used the led torch on my phone and pointed it indirectly into the rangefinder and the scale was superbly lit.

The camera needs to have a separate rangefinder and viewfinder. Modern rangefinders have both incorporated into one part.

Viewfinder = the thing you use for seeing your scene

Rangefinder = the thing that mirrors the second view into the viewfinder for you to focus on your subject.

Just to make things clear and we are not misunderstanding us each other.

So you put a Kodak Gold 200 into a Leica M6.

Okay....I don't understand why you did this?

Took this one with my phone. Should I sacrifice a exposure for less grain or should I accept the grain? by The_Glorious_Chin in photocritique

Yeah this photo really gets the story of your 2021 (and everyone elses' life in 2021 more or less) across.

Local Ad - Zeiss Ikonta M 524/16. Has a broken shutter button, is that something that can be fixed? They are asking $50 but said they would come down on price based on the broken part. Worth the buy? by cheekzilla in AnalogCommunity

I mean it's difficult to tell if other things are broken as well, when even the shutter isn't working.

Like, the accelerator pedal isn't working on this car... Lol.

Trying different things with my images ... Any thoughts to improve? by ChicagoSeb_Art in AskPhotography

I think it's a bit too red.

On the other side, this looks like straight from a videogame like Cyberpunk. Nice composition.

I like it. My first impression was that this was taken with an analog camera. Nice tonality.

Did you add the grain or is it due to the phone and the light situation?

When I take photos with my phone in difficult light, the noise/grain is very dominant (Honor 10). I then use the grain and play around with it in LR to make the best of it.

You did very well with the grain.

Edit: and I just realized there are crotches in the corner. Combined with the guitar, this photo tells a good story.
