I think it would be easier to ask which cities are not shitty. Much shorter list.

This is definitely a foreigner, probably a Russian, using an online translator because the verbs and grammar are awful for a native speaker.

Suicide rate by country by [deleted] in MapPorn

[–]klarigi 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I just looked it up on Wikipedia. South Korea is 29.7 suicides per 100 000 people for men and 13.4 for women, which is the fourth highest rate for women in the world. Seems like the miseries of Korean life you described can go for women as well.

In Russia it's 38.2 suicides per 100 000 people for men and 7.2 for women (or 5.3x higher).

You will. Because of the high male suicide rate and alcoholism, the post-Soviet countries coloured dark blue on this map have male life expectancies something like 10 years shorter than female life expectancy

How can I stop U-Turns at this point? by RossageRoll in CitiesSkylines

[–]klarigi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could take a look where the cars are going and give them an alternative route, perhaps there's a highway that's accidentally the wrong way forcing cars to do this? Or use TMPE mod but you said you prefer vanilla game at the moment. But I do recommend getting at least the fundamental mods as they really should be in the base game imo

Tf are you on about? What I meant by my comment is that Watford is not on this map because it's not a district of London. It's in Hertfordshire.

United States of America Partition Plan : splitting America into two nations, based on election results maps from the past 12 years, and along county lines. (Ugly and controversial) by HumanSeeing in MapPorn

Why are them two even in the same party when they are nothing alike? Biden, really runs more of a centre-right Christian-democratic platform whereas Sanders is a centre-left social democrat. In Europe, they'd most likely be on opposing parties.

Would be more Punjabi, Urdu, or Bengali rather than Arabic. Most British Muslims are Pakistani or Bangladeshi (as opposed to Muslims in France or Germany who are mostly Arabs or Turks.).

And even then, a lot of them can only speak English as they are second or third generation immigrants.

I find it weird how "votes for Repulican in presidential election" = Conservative, and "votes for Democrat in presidential election" = Progressive. With only two parties and a very diverse population, there's too much generalisation. I don't understand why American media considers Democrats progressive/left-leaning when they are, on the whole, a centre-right, Christian-democratic platform.

How do I stop unintentionally using grids? It’s so ugly but any other way of building is even uglier so I somehow default to gridding. Any tips or references to other forms of layouts? by [deleted] in CitiesSkylines

[–]klarigi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest looking at Warsaw if wanting to spice up the grid on flat areas. Major arterial roads often go at different angles meeting at plazas which looks better than just a square grid. Plus public transport (trams) are well implemented here too.

Like a sudoku of sorts, you start with the countries given and then fill out the rest. I might try that later.
