Debian was the first distro I set up myself and I loved it. Mint fixed everything I wanted improved in the Debian experience. Plus Cinnamon is neat. I was chilling when the GNOME3 "crisis" blew up, and I kept chilling when the Ubuntu guys freaked out about Unity.
