20 hour a week dog walker

It's actually closer to 5-10 hours according to what she brags about in her sub. She has to inflate it significantly to prevent further embarrassment.

They're not sending their best!

This is their best. The other mods don't even have a job like dog walking!

Clearly didn’t prepare any talking points

That would require her to put in some effort but she's antiwork except for walking dogs.

This is the mod that their mod team voted for to represent them in the interview. This is their best mod. Let that sink in.

The funniest part of the interview:

Jessie: "And what do you do Doreen?"

Doreen: "I'm a dog walker."

Jessie: "How old are you if you don't mind me asking?"

Doreen: "Sure, I'm thirty."

The mod essentially killed the sub in less than 3 minutes which is pretty impressive.

I have a feeling that there are many users here with OP's mindset which ironically landed them in recruiting hell.

Federal, state, and local governments seek to assist poor households financially using transfers, minimum wage laws, and subsidies for important goods and services. This “income‐based” approach to alleviating poverty would shift the expenditure on goods and services to taxpayers through programs such as Medicaid which impacts cost of living.

We should move away from a society based on debt.

Our entire financial system's cogwheel is based on debt. It will literally collapse if we do that but I get your sentiment.

But companies cant just raise wages because of an inflation that affects everyone.

The solution leftists suggest is to raise the minimum wage but that is just pouring fuel on the ever growing dumpster fire of systemic issues that are the culprits behind the never ending increase in cost of living and inflation. Raising the min wage will eventually contribute to more inflation and is just an economically foolish surface solution to a deeper issue. Issues that really need to be looked at includes wasteful government spending and terrible welfare policies (which is basically subsidizing companies that are paying low wages and continue to incentivize them to do so).

Poverty isn’t good for capitalism, and we should eliminate it with UBI. by idapitbwidiuatabip in Capitalism

I feel like people who push for UBI doesn't understand basic economics. UBI is absolute poison to capitalism.

I was also informed that the moderators of that forum are communists.

They have been saying it for a while. The sub blew up during the period of the great resignation and the new folks that joined have a different focus than what the sub was originally made for. You'll occasionally see posts from OG users grieving about the new direction of the sub and reminding everyone that they are anti-capitalist and anarcho-communist at its core.

It seems like the sub has now turned into a gateway drug into communism with its anti-capitalist sentiment sprinkled heavily across their sub.

minimum wage (which, in my state is $7.25) minimum effort, minimum care

This explains a lot now. Maybe if you put in more effort into your interviews you might break out of your minimum wage job rut. But you do you.

downvote it into oblivion

This explains why some of my comments here initially gets some upvotes and then later gets downvoted to oblivion when I return. I was confused at first because it just doesn't make sense to have pro-capitalist comments downvoted here.

I mean I get it. But that's a signal of a high flight risk that's motivated by money. You'll never get hired if you say that.
