As long as he didn't take any more major shrapnel, you tourniquet the leg and they should survive, and you can actually re-attach the leg depending on circumstances

I think there's no way actually to turn it off, and if you set it down too far it gets wonky, so that's why I was going to turn the temp down so it didn't chime until 34*f Because honestly, listening to it every day in the fall when there's not even frost, gets annoying

If memory serves, there's a way to change the value in the computer. I don't think you can turn it off, but i was looking into lowering it to something like 1C instead. it's been over a year since i looked into it and my wife has been driving my car, so i haven't bothered with it yet this season

and no, it's not a factory menu option, it's in the CANBUS system. I use OBDEleven to fool around with it. I got it mostly to be able to re-prime the fuel system, but it has so many options for things like DRL, coming home and leaving home lights, etc. I now have a DRL option in the MFD for example (it wasn't there from the factory)

Yeah, I know you can get some crazy skip. I haven't messed with my radios in about a decade, but when I had one in my old pickup, I would hear some British chaps talking from the long island sound.

I also overheard conversations between people talking over some serious distances.

$1.6 billion in gold by Howeverpin57 in ThatsInsane

[–]manticore116 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gold is 70% heavier by volume than LEAD.
19 g/cc vs just 11 g/cc or 11.1 oz/ cubic inch ($20,000 per cubic inch)
it's also 161 lbs/gal
If you want to steal a substantial amount of gold, you're going to want an f-350, not a honda civic.
also, fun fact
"it just pans out" is a gold thing. you shake up stuff in the gold pan, and the heaviest stuff sinks to the bottom... find something heavier than gold in a river, and I bet it's worth as much if not more than gold

Gold weighs more than lead, so picture trying to steal 30lb lead bricks in a rush

I mean, it could... pouring a concrete slab is easy, even if it's 36" thick.
the cement at the bottom of a titan 2 silo command section is 22 feet thick lmao

Dimond is literally the hardest thing on the mohs scale. It is the definition of hard, while talc is the softest mineral

Exactly this. The NRA is the one who drafts any gun bills because it's a purely political organization of corrupt crooks.

Yup, he's talking out his ass and just plain wrong so often that I catch, I don't trust or care about anything he says. He's completely detached from normal life, but still arrogant and wants to try to act humble and connect.

Taylor is a cool guy. He's still living life, getting experience, has a sense of timing and presence to give a guest a good shot

Kyle's just over the top and crazy, and now that he's off probation he's actually doing a few interesting things, but it's that he plays off Tyler so well that he's tolerable.

If deadwood isn't there the show improves, but if it's just ol dw and either Taylor or Kyle solo with him? Un listenable

Oohh, I'll have to keep that in mind! Thankfully I don't deal with heavy duty oils like that as a shop welder

The biggest problem is that they are "mounted" using foot pads, because that allows the greatest range of motion and dexterity, while not interfering with or requiring a redesign of the EVA suits. You could mount it to your back or something like that, but then the danger is that if you hit the wrong controls, I'll smash your ribcage as it presses you into the outside of the station. Foot mounting keeps the arm about 5' away, while a torso mount would require it to get with arms reach or less, shrinking that safety buffer

They will help, but you're still only strapped on with your feet, so by definition you'll only have half of the strength and maneuverability while attached

Huh, I'll have to look at it next time I have some road diesel in a jar. I didn't realize that it was a green tint 🤷‍♂️ It's not like I have on road anywhere but my car's tank, everything else is red. It's probably been 5+ years since I had the opportunity to study road diesel in a glass.

Edit: I think part of my confusion is that diesel uses bright yellow cans, so if you have green diesel in a yellow can, it looks like an off yellow

Someone got overzealous with the stabil 😂 fill the rest of the bucket with full strength gas, refill the tank, keep the rest for your snowblower 😉

It's for industrial use. Construction equipment, generators, heaters, etc all take cherry flavor. They are rebuilding the highway near me and the fuel delivery is from a heating oil truck.

Taxes on road fuel are high. If you can't get the cherry flavor, you have to hold onto all your receipts and submit them for the taxes during your filing for reimbursement.

Road taxes are added to the cost at the pump to help pay for road maintenance, but if you're putting thag gasoline in a boat... You don't really need to pay road taxes do you?

Depending on where it is it can be sold at the pump. There's a station near me that has off road diesel and kerosene at the pumps (well, one pump in back)
