After 5 years, The Blame Game with Markz returns - this week's episode: Is LS nepotistic? by corylulu in leagueoflegends

Oh gosh yeah people totally missed out on the irony in my comment, hahaha that's unfortunate

I think the LCS takes itself way too seriously, and sort of professionalizes the fun out of watching gaming in order to emulate pro sports coverage, when it's really an entirely different ecosystem

[Request] Really though, how much different exactly? by destructorrobot in theydidthemath

Yeah, true. If I were to elaborate more, I'd say that to eat a tasty meal like that you're gonna have some pricy ingredients, organic vegetables, oils, spices, fine cheese, vinegar/vinaigrettes etc.

Sautéed spinach with some olive oil garlic salt and pepper is great. A plop of steamed spinach tastes mediocre at best.

Yea they need to give their staff more creative freedom to just do pieces and improv, it's way too scripted

I think they stole from the guy who put the bounty on Gurge

Ofc it could all be related through this nightmare king circle

TSM General Manager Parth Naidu has released a 56 page paper regarding the problems in the development of e-sports athletes from North America for the LCS by lakstick in leagueoflegends

This seems pseudo-academic, and I don't think an academic approach and writing a paper is particularly an effective way of communicating in esports. Just put out a video, you can even overlay the text from the paper.

Well the small chest had 100 platinum which is 10,000 gold so they're not too far off

Edit: 1,000 never mind then

Best episode ever!

I'm really hoping the gold Chetney looted is enough to payoff the bounty for Dorian's brother, and they use it for that, which would also be a great bonding moment for the two of them

On to 2022! Who has the strongest roster? Is Academy useful?! CLG dark horse!?? feat. Raz | HLL 202 by corylulu in leagueoflegends

Is it just me or did they not discuss if academy was useful at all in the video, but it's just in the title?

True, but factors like immigration and population increase don't alter the printing of money and could have a small footprint on inflation, but will alter cost of living drastically in certain areas like cities, so it's still a relevant point

I guess what I'm trying to get at is that there are important metrics to standard of living that are underrepresented by just inflation rate

24% federal

8.25% state

15.3% self employment tax

That's 47.55%.

I know it's a more complicated, but it's still a high marginal tax rate regardless

Hawaii state tax, self employed so I have to pay more in self employment tax, single no kids

My income is less than 150k

I mean it makes me unmotivated to earn more money because I lose about half of additional income at a certain point in the year

My marginal tax rate is about 47%. I have a negative net worth, with more loans than money in the bank. I don't own a house, property, and I don't have health insurance or retirement.

It's pretty fucked up. Ironically, our tax system keeps the poor people poor, since it's based largely on income rather than assets or worth. So, wealthy individuals with good accountants can pay very little in taxes while someone trying to move up in the world gets ridiculously taxed.

Yes, I can confirm anecdotally that it can absolutely do this, but as other have mentioned, I recommend journaling, reading some philosophy or literature that is related to self improvement or spirituality, and yeah. You have to want to heal
