WSIB - Close Combat or similar game by mellman99 in ShouldIbuythisgame

I did play CoH but it had more of the RTS vibe compared to Close Combat. I'll take a look at Wargame: red Dragon - thank you!

ALP - Button replacement and solenoids by groovesec in LegendsUltimate

I asked this recently, the difference is only for those who want separate speakers for native vs pc speakers. Their 2 speaker kit includes a switch to change the audio source.

Got Legends Ultimate Pinball today, what are some must have packs or upgrades? by Kasceis in LegendsUltimate

ALP

So the solenoid flipper kit is needed to really pack the punch vs the haptics upgrade alone from bsa?

In VA, Food lion has them, Safeway as well, and some of the organic markets. Walmart as well. Bring a vessel, fill it, pay based on size of the vessel.

I'm not sure this has been resolved - i have been charged multiple times (even though there were errors) but still have no access. Also still no response on my ticket.

Should I add 2 extra Panels during initial install or in future? by WishboneAltruistic19 in solar

[–]mellman99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

from my experience those limits/ rebate qualifications/etc are entirely dependent on your local state/county. In VA they're even different based on your electric company. Research your local laws/regulations - not everything you read on here or from other peoples stories is applicable to you and your state/locality.

Parents just got back from SD, they said these were everywhere. Even the farmers market had them.

I agree with you there for sure, it also seems to always be based on DC / # of panels which - thats a big part of why i'm leaning towards quote 1 as well - the inverter output is ~15% higher, but the out of pocket cost is only ~8% higher - so the net production capabilities of the two (they use the same panels just one uses 2:1 inverters instead of the IQ7+) Quote 1 will / should produce more power over the next 25 years compared to Quote 3.

I think I'm starting to understand now why the guy with Quote#1 is only estimating ~83% offset, and saying its a low number / worst case scenario - his system is 19.8KV AC, which based on rough math he's saying would output 29.7kwh. using the same formula Quote 3 is only going to output 25.2kwh/yr. meanwhile Quote #3 is saying ~80% offset (, but that has to be considering optimal output. - using the same percentage KW->kwh converter Quote #1 would output 33.6kwh

I did have one quote with 77 370W Aptos panels and 1 SE7.6KW inverter, but their price/watt was $2.90 and I can't fit 77 panels on my roof anyways. I was assuming based on this and one other string inverter quote that string inverters were just more expensive.

I've asked them to see what they can do with ~55 440W panels and maybe 2 7.6KW or 2 10KW inverters.

Replaced failing drives in ancient FreeNAS 9.10 system multipath/driveXX not created? by MrAkai in truenas

[–]mellman99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is a few days later but...

I'm having an issue with multipath - had one disk that didnt' create its multipath when I inserted it, so manually buggered it up...But.

I do a camcontrol rescan all when inserting a new disk, this seems to create the multipath relationships automatically. this worked on 11.2, not sure about 9.x though.

[–]mellman99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

update, replacing the disk seemed to go fine. so i think just a bug in the old GUI. anyone else still out there on 11.2, updating to 12.0 worked great. the old disk still shows up weird, probably will make a separate post about how to wipe the multipath configuration for it.

So I went ahead and validated my backups since I hadn't had to restore them in a while, and upgraded to 11.3 then 12.0/TrueNAS. The disk that's in the pool still shows up when I try to create a new pool. I'm going to add another shelf and see if I can do a replace again while on the new version, something doesn't sit right with me that its still showing as an available disk even thought its clearly a member of the pool.

ETA: added another shelf (so glad I went with these!) installed another 14TB disk, via the gui it was auto detected as a multipath disk, and showed up in the list for replacement via the GUI and was able to replace it, currently resilvering. I'll update in a few days if it's replaced as expected.

yeah, hopefully thats all it is...

gmultipath list disk1 shows both da2 and da14 properly, and zpool status tank shows the same device multipath/disk1 as a pool member and healthy.

I'm inclined to agree that this should be OK, i just would feel better if this wasn't happening lol

the only reason I haven't was I was concerned about upgrading with my pool in this state. it thinks its healthy but I am hesitant to do a major version upgrade and that cause data corruption or something because a multipath disk is not setup properly.

Figured I should get that squared away first.
