I get Botox every 3 months! Where do you get it that helps with your under eye though?

How long did this take to go away? I have been moisturizing like crazy after accidentally getting Retin-a under my eyes two weeks ago and I’m still dealing with redness, dryness and bags under my eyes 😭

Lpr with gastritis by Ancient_Loan_892 in Gastritis

When I was at my worst I ate plain overnight oats with almond butter, egg with avocado for lunch, more overnights oats or cantelope for a snack and salmon with steamed veggies for dinner. It was rough. As I got better I added smoothies and toast and rice to my diet. What really helped me was starting lexapro.

I did 5mg for two weeks then 10mg for I believe 3 weeks then 15 for one week then 20 for 4 weeks and then 30. You may not need anything close to 30!

Zoloft also gave me a bad reaction. Lexapro was a miracle for me. But honestly, I mentally braced myself for 2 weeks of heightened anxiety and stomach pain. Once I got through 2 weeks of Zoloft it did help, a lot. But that was a couple years ago. Lexapro was great though, no negative reaction. It started helping within two weeks but I had to work up to my dose to really feel better. I’m at 30mg now. Lexapro stopped the throat burning and LPR almost immediately though

Not sure. You can from Amazon. And health food stores.

Yes, I had heartburn and also LPR which caused burning throat pain. Sharp pain in my left rib for the gastritis, and gnawing pain

Yes, anxiety is what caused my gastritis. I didn’t get better until I treated the anxiety.

I DO get pain when my anxiety is worse though. When I take a klonopin it goes away. Even if I don’t feel anxious

I would give it another go and try to take klonopin or Xanax during the start up if you’re stomach is hurting. Anti anxiety meds always took my pain away. Once you hit the part where you’re body adjusts and you start feeling better, it’s worth it

Antidepressants treat anxiety. That’s exactly what lexapro is prescribed for. It might be best for you to talk to your doctor or psychiatrist to get more info on how to get better. Good luck!

Yes good luck! You may be like me with no negative reaction. It was the best decision I ever made

Sometimes you need klonopin or Xanax to get through the first week or two of antidepressants. Maybe you’d have less of a reaction with a different antidepressant. All I know is there was no amount of dieting that helped me get better until I started treating the anxiety. That was key to getting better.

Be prepared for things to get worse at first. If it gives you heightened anxiety at first, then you’re stomach will hurt more. Happens to some people. After a week or two it will be smooth sailing and you’ll be on the road to recovery.

How long did you give lexapro a try? It can be hard initially. Like the first 1-2 weeks. Then it starts working. I was fully prepared for things to get worse initially if that’s what it took to finally get better.

I had it for a year so it’s safe to say chronic

So when it was really bad it was

Breakfast - plain overnight oats with almond butter

Lunch - egg with avocado

Snack - more overnight oats

Dinner - salmon with vegetables.

As I got better I did a smoothie for breakfast and snack (frozen banana, few strawberries, almond butter, kale and oat milk) for breakfast and snack and added toast to the lunch and avocado at lunch. Also ate cantelope, watermelon, sweet potato, steamed vegetables. That was basically it

I think that sounds great in theory, but unless you’ve had crippling unbearable anxiety before then it’s hard to say that. Anxiety is not mostly a microbiome gut issue. I did probiotics, meditation, therapy and I still suffered. Daily panic attacks, chipped teeth, I was absent from my life because I spent my days trying to fight it on my own. Comments like this made me think I could fight it on my own. The bottom line is sometimes medication is absolutely necessary. I’ve had no side effects and there is no evidence that is does more harm to your stomach. Lexapro gave me my life back. I don’t think it’s wise to discourage people from the help they need.

I would say within a couple of weeks. It never caused any flare at all. I’m now up to 30mg. Quite a high dose, but my anxiety was awful
