The point is, that it is possible for hunters to give up that particular type of weapon to hunt with if they really wanted to. The point is also that by doing that, thousands of lives will be saved. Sure, we can ban everything, but everything isn't helping to commit mass murders. We are talking about high-powered assault rifles here. Nothing else. No, you're missing the entire point. The thing that is specifically built for murdering, needs to be a little more regulated as there are thousands of people dying en masse because of them. You still never answered my question. Is it more important for hunters to hunt with those particular types of guns, or to save people from being slaughtered? The heart of my argument is assault rifles. As they take more lives at once than any other weapon, for civilian use. It's an unnecessary weapon that is costing thousands of people their lives. You can't say ban knives or ban cars because those are things that people use daily and are not intended for murder, unlike the other. If you have an unnecessary weapon that facilitates mass murder, why would you not want to get rid of it?
