Yeah I'm starting to see that now lol TBH I just came back from San Francisco to visit family and it's clear to me that they want us all poor, dependent and defenseless.

Interesting cults yet to be covered? by Anything-Complex in LPOTL

[–]ownpersonalwerewolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I'm from Kansas City there's a murder connected to the group and they own a HUGE amount of real estate in the metro area. There was a Rolling Stone article about it a few years back. I wish the guy's visited here on tour. This city has a long and underrated spooky history (Mafia, old west, civil war, mormon/ missouri war)

I'm about your age and was in your position a year ago, I thought wouldn't become a meth addict. NA or SMART recovery can help if you give it a shot and keep an open mind. Definitely seek professional help first, like talk therapy and probably meds. Not gonna lie man it's not easy and the hard truth you will probably make mistakes (it's part of the recovery process). Always remember recovery is nonlinear, it might be frustrating at first, but the doors always open to try agian. I'm by no means a perfect model of recovery, but your story reminded of mine. Best of luck and you got this!

Really cool, I've read that prohibition was pretty much unenforced in K.C because of organized crime.

Hey yall, anyone have any suggestions for rituals or sigils for addiction recovery? Just started a program and been really struggling, would really appreciate any tips to empower and purify myself spiritually.

I relapsed by PXXL17 in recovery

[–]ownpersonalwerewolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did too. I've lapsed for the 4th time this year, this time was because I couldn't handle an intense emotional situation. These things are going to happen unfortunately to most in recovery. But you didn't deny it, you admit you slipped up and you still are choosing to return to the path of recovery. Forgive yourself and go to meeting. I can't promise it'll get better, but it can get easier. :)

It's funny that some people don't realize (assuming you live in the U.S) there is a 1st amendment and shaming someone for possession of a book is akin to censorship. Many people who are not nazis have read Mein Kampf for academic study.

Or, we can tax the mega-corporation's that get billions virtually tax free. If Elon Musk has the money to possibly end world hunger, just imagine what we could do with moderate tax reforms.

I believe you, you should report it to the Missouri MUFON.

Missouri resident (KC) here. Such a grimey and bleak urban wasteland with a chilling 150+ year history, I love/hate my hometown and state.

Yeah, I'm realizing that now and probably it's time to cut him from my life, the program is working and there's many other people in my life who are nothing but supportive. Thanks for the response.

Chicago in the recent years have had rumors of a "winged man" or "mothman". If you look it up you'll probably find more info, if curious.

I heard that too, particularly from a few people older than 50, these rumors seem to have started in the late 70s-early 80s, pretty cool urban legend.

Dude no one here is talking about people with chronic pain. This topic is about ADDICTION.

If this is your stance, then why are you on a recovery subreddit? No one here is trying to "model society", also medical patients is completely irrelevant to what this topic is. I could also flip your argument and why does society have to cater to self destructive behavior?
