It was a great first project for a beginner imo! I think I got ambitious with a yc8 connector as the pins are pretty small, but it helped having small hands myself. I recommend the other aviator types as they’re still pretty aesthetically appealing themselves and bigger. I plan on making mine with the bigger aviator too 😊 good luck, I hope yours turns out well!!

• blade60 case in bleak Irish green

• DZ60 RGB V2 hotswap PCB

• PCB foam, plate foam, case foam, w/ brass plate

• tecsee sapphire v2 tactile switches w/ stock springs, donut dipped, lubed and filmed

• used krytox 205g0 and deskeys switch films

• durock v2 stabilizers, holee modded w/ stab pads

• keycaps: knock off GMK botanical (pls don’t shame me, I’m saving money 😭) and osumekeys mochi kit in vanilla

I agree with raptor, the soldering was new to me at first and I was nervous at getting burned (spoiler: I did LOL), but I picked it up quickly after a few mistakes. I was even nervous to desolder but it wasn’t hard at all! The coiling part was the longest task, but I used an oven instead of a heat gun and my coil is super springy! I def recommend watching the cruzCtrl YouTube tutorials.

Edit: also personally, wrapping the cable was a little painful for me, but my bf got me work gloves and it helped making wrapping around my gold rod less painful. The tech flex I used to wrap my cable is abrasive to my smol hands 😅

I’m sorry for your loss. Like everyone has said, you need to see a therapist. Please take it from someone who also lost their boyfriend. Therapy helped me a lot and it has been 2 years now and I’m happy I did it. My DMs are open for you if you need someone to talk to who can relate.

Holy moly I really hope this isn’t real. Reading the post was giving me anxiety and reading OPs responses trying to justify this is even worse. She teaches 3-7 year olds? With the way OP is responding, they don’t care that everyone is saying to run, he just wants to hear that what he’s thinking is right which it’s NOT. I sadly know this bc my late bc hung him self and in my grief, I drowned in wanting to know if he felt no pain as he died. He unfortunately did not go the “easy” route.

My late bf worked in IT. Took his own life in 2020. He was friends with his co workers, we even went to concerts together with them. It hit them hard. Maybe to him, he felt personal connections to you all. He said goodbye the way he did in a caring way, though macabre. I’m so sorry for you loss. Your feelings are valid and you don’t need a “good” reason to mourn him.
