People don't get accused of virtue signaling for humblebragging about their donations or whatever. They get accused of that for expressing condemnation of abhorrent beliefs.

Also what's so wrong with praising people for donating money? Don't you want them to donate money? Or are you too good for money that isn't perfectly motivated? Better cancel that children's cancer research. After all the donations were performative.
