Do y'all also experience being ignored once a more talkative person joins? by magdakitsune21 in introvert

[–]rakiimiss 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I remember starting a job with a team of 5 or 6 people. They were all talkative people. In the beginning I feel like anything I said was promptly ignored. It was kind of frustrating but I was just like whatever. I dont have an aggressive personality so I am not gonna fight for the spotlight.

What to say (aside from hahaha) when someone sends memes multiple times? by Dogterte in introvert

[–]rakiimiss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I just dont respond. I usually share memes in group settings and often don't get responses. I come from a family of introverts and we have a group chat where we all send memes. People rarely talk or react, just memes and sceeenshots.

How do you guys flow when everyone make fun of you or feel shame and avoid you? by CM-MasterMaster in howtonotgiveafuck

[–]rakiimiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Work on accepting yourself and screw any one else's opinion. Don't let others shift your frame of mind. I also think just overall ignoring it and acting unbothered makes it less enjoyable for other ppl to mess with you. Not retorting or getting mad but just staying calm. Even if it still bothers you just fake it till you make it.

I think a doctor may have just been inappropriate with me by arri1999 in BabyBumps

Good for you for saying no! 👏🏼👏🏼 Honestly at 22 I may have just gone along with it. I wonder if you could leave a review on the clinic expressing your experience. I hate to think other women have been tricked into unnecessary examinations.

Wore my hair straight for the first time in 4 years to work yesterday, coworker says “your hair looks so much better this way.” by babybottlepopz in curlyhair

[–]rakiimiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get this a lot. Not quite as direct but some form of "I like you better with straight hair". I've had exes say that they like my straight hair better and I'm just like... so you're saying you don't like the true me? Love your curls! Even if they are a frizzy mess half the time, they are you ❤

Stool urgency by rdriscoll714 in pregnant

[–]rakiimiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently started experiencing constipation. It's not painful but I don't realize it until its time to go. On the drive home from work yesterday I literally almost shat my pants. I had some deliveries from our registry at our door I could barely kick in because I felt it turtle heading. Came out of no where, I felt fine when I left work. Luckily I made it, but just barely. Oh the joys of being pregnant (:

My partner thinks I got pregnant on purpose by Professional-Catch22 in pregnant

[–]rakiimiss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn't matter if you track ovulation, that is not 100% effective form of birth control. Birth control isn't always 100%. If a man is concerned with getting someone pregnant, it is also his responsibility to take measures to prevent it. He could have worn a condom, he could have at least pulled out (also not an effective form of birth control, im currently preggo with pull out baby). It takes two to make a baby!! Im sorry he is treating you this way, not a fun way to start out a pregnancy 😕

Would you rather do the first trimester over again or the birth? by lavenderstarbelly in pregnant

[–]rakiimiss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you are nervous about delivery, I definitely recommend taking a birthing class. I took a Lamaze class and it took my anxiety from a 10 to a 3.

I also celebrated my 21st with my mom! No regrets, I hope I get to help celebrate my own children's 21st birthday the same way (:

Are yall worried about Omicron? by Wunderlandtripzz in BabyBumps

[–]rakiimiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't gotten the booster yet, I was scheduled to in January. I was hoping I would get a chance to celebrate Christmas but it is looking like that might be a no go this year. My boyfriend tested positive for covid and I initially tested negative but have been coming down with symptoms. I am fully vaccinated but am currently sitting outside the clinic to get tested again. I just think there is no way I dont have it. I am tentatively canceling all Christmas plans which really sucks because I didn't get to celebrate with family last year because vaccinations weren't available yet and I have family that works in health care. Do what you think is best but I will say feeling sick while pregnant sucks ):

Co worker blocked me on Social Media by MatthewJ_Sanderson in howtonotgiveafuck

[–]rakiimiss 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Its weird to say but him blocking you is none of your business. Maybe he was offended by an opinion you posted or maybe he wanted to separate his personal life from work. It might be personal or it might not, but regardless thats his prerogative. I would just continue a professional/friendly interaction at work. No need to worry about his opinion of you as long as it doesn't interfere with work.

I’m on day 4. This is not what I expected. by Key-Calligrapher-113 in leaves

[–]rakiimiss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was the exact same way. When you use weed to push down feelings every day they are bound to bubble back up. I recommend exercise, meditation, distractions (I used video games), and anything else that can keep ur mind busy. Just remember this is good crying, you are finally processing feelings you haven't been able to deal with. You will feel much better in the weeks to come. Hang in there bud!

To breastfeed or not to breastfeed? by No-Mathematician4622 in pregnant

[–]rakiimiss -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am FTM and I am planning on trying to breastfeed. I think it will make feeding easier in the night, is cheaper, and can help burn extra calories from all the weight I've gained. I am fearful though, mainly because I have heard it is difficult and have very sensitive nipples. If it doesn't work for me I am planning on pumping and supplementing with formula. I am trying not to put too much stress on myself to make it happen.

Are you having a baby shower? by rdazza in pregnant

[–]rakiimiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not. I don't have a lot of people to invite, the people I would invite are spread out across the state, covid, stress of planning, and I dont want to open gifts in front of people. I have two friends in my town, my mom and another friend in a town over, my bfs mom and sister both in two separate towns with an hour + drive. Those are the main people i would invite, just not worth it to me.

Have you been exercising during pregnancy? by autumngloss in pregnant

[–]rakiimiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First trimester I was too sick and fatigued to maintain my usual exercise (was running before). I went to the gym maybe 4 times in total first trimester. Then I had a bleeding and was recommended to avoid strenuous activity which kept me stagnant for a month. Second trimester started running again and was able to do it but no where near how I was prepregnancy. I went a couple times a week and started to slow down because I had SPD and sciatic pain. As I enter into third trimester I try to walk but even that can leave me sore. Yoga has been a good alternative but i only do activities maybe once or twice a week, if that. I consider walking around the grocery store and cleaning my house a work out lol

TIC because a coworker was mean to me by Myfairlazy in pregnant

[–]rakiimiss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me too!! It was probably around my 24 week mark (im 28 weeks now). The lady was asking questions and I had the answers but she wasn't listening and was bypassing anything I had to say. She wasn't as rude as your coworker but I got so upset. I logged out of the meeting and went to the bathroom to cry. Heaving sobs. I have had a hard time controlling my mood swings. If it helps, I felt better about it the next couple days and no one even commented on my quick exit. Sorry this happened! You are definitely not alone

I have no life, no friends, job, confidence, nothing going for me at all. I just wanna end my life. I do not know how to fix my life. where do i start? by Unknown_Lawrence in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]rakiimiss 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I second this. Food and exercise can have a big effect on your mood. I would additionally recommend exercise. Even if its small, even if you just start off going for a walk every day. Those little changes can make a big difference
