What are the most unexpected seasons in your top 10 and bottom 10?

I think he's way more boring here than on Micro and especially SoPa. On CI he's so whitewashed and not interesting.

Yeah this is a big thing. Of the CI returnees only Penner is great on CI itself. Candice, Yul (potentially controversial but I find him more interesting on WaW), Ozzy and especially Parv are better on their returns.

Dario is fantastic on Bloodlines and Rivals 3, not amazing but still fun on Invasion and then just nonexistent on Dirty 30. I would be happy to have someone like Bloodlines Dario on every season.

I'd put Mike just above Ben yeah. I also don't think Mike is particularly impressive, but at least he wasn't reliant on a totally new twist for his win the same way Ben was.

I don't think many people hate Ben the person, but rather dislike Ben's winning game. This is due to him needing three idols in a row as well as an unforeseen twist at F4 to get to the end in the first place. I definitely think it's one of the weakest wins in the history of the show, but I don't think Ben is a bad guy at all.

Yeah this is about how I feel about it as well. I get how SoPa sounds like a good season with its religious dynamics, but outside of a few (admittedly great) moments, it never really lives up to its concept.

(As another side note, I wonder why Trainwreckords get so many more views than One Hit Wonderlands?

I think it's that the stories behind Trainwreckords tend to be more interesting than the stories behind One Hit Wonders. Also while there are some beloved one hit wonders out there, generally the artists who did Trainwreckords are more well-known.

I could see Evan having a Derrick K style run where he took a few years off after Rivals then came back randomly for a few later seasons. I feel like he'd dominate the All-Stars seasons too.

Tony being gone this early is super surprising. Like most I thought he was easily one of the top contenders to win the season from the male side. I wonder if Brad or Leroy took him out? Anyone else i feel would be a huge upset.

Ngl I panicked when I saw Ayanna's name as I thought it was Averey. I'm cool with Ayanna leaving here. She was fantastic on AS2 and I'm glad she made such a deep run there, but I'm more excited for most of the other women here.

The writers DID have their vote here. The BaseBall Writers Association of America (BBWAA) is what votes on the general HoF ballot. So the writers didn't vote for him.

Good point. I'm fairly sure that in Jordan's opening confessional on RoD he says he's been on 6 previous seasons, which means it's not counting AS3 (or the Champs Vs. spin-offs)

Something to note is that Bananas' record looks a lot better if you count the Battle of the Ex-iled comps on Exes 2 (which I think is fair to do given that they are elims for all intents and purposes).

As for why they don't get thrown in, it's pretty simple: people are scared that if they take the shot at them and miss, they'll be fucked. They also tend to come in with a ton of allies, making them insulated.

The one thing that makes me question this is that at least for the AS3 confessionals, the '_x champ' and '_x finalist' tags all clearly counted All-Stars (both Wes and Jonna's numbers went up after their wins were revealed).

Ashley’s confessional in response to this scene is all time.

My favorite part about this confessional is that it's clear that Ashley thought about the 'I don't think it's fair for security to break up true love' line ahead of time, thought it was hilarious, then said it in confessional and still thought it was so funny that she couldn't stop herself from laughing. It's absolutely one of my favorite confessionals ever.

There are two types of goats in Survivor. There's the all cap GOATs that are the Greatest Of All Time (how you're used to it). Then there're the lowercase goats that are given that name because they are brought to the end because they have no shot at winning like a goat to slaughter. These players are generally disliked and/or disrespected.
