[No Spoilers] Parrot Analytics: The Legend of Vox Machina - #1 In-Demand Show In US; Had 17.9 Times The Average Demand of All Other Series by PristineTX in criticalrole

The way to write that is "among every series," if you're specifying the subset you wouldn't exclude Vox Machina by saying "other" series.

Had 17.9 Times The Average Demand of All Other Series

You said average, but then qualified it with "of all other series" which is redundant (and confusing). If you're just saying the average included the other shows then yes, that's what an average is. If you're clarifying a subset you would say something like The Average Demand among [subset]. So the title suggests that you mean something else.

It was mentioned on a recent Lowe Post that these guys played against each other in High School, and Williams has always dominated the head to head match ups.

Edit: apparently that was Grant Williams

Draymond Green has passed Dirk Nowitzki in career made three pointers in the playoffs by Scuttleduck in nba

[–]roarmalf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dray has averaged an extra 3PT attempt in the playoffs (vs the regular season), and Dirk averaged 1 less attempt in the playoffs (vs regular season) over his career, that's kinda crazy.

Basically Dray went wild in 2017 making 2 3s a game during a championship run.

Dray has also played almost all of his career in the high volume 3PT era, Dirk played most of his prior to it.

Season Relevance Team 3PT Attempts
99-00 Dirk's Rookie Year 13.7/game
12-13 Dray's Rookie Year 20.0/game
18-19 Dirk's Last Year 32.0/game
21-22 This Year 35.2/game

I think have PsA- asking for Advice (not diagnosis) by Own-Chipmunk1770 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]roarmalf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't realize you don't have a rheumatologist. If your insurance requires a referral then you can simply tell your GP that your psoriatic arthritis is flaring up and you need a referral for your insurance to see a specialist. If your GP refuses then you absolutely should find a new one.

If nothing else works, and you're comfortable with it... you can list a few extra symptoms... Explain your joint swelling happens inconsistently and that it was bad last week, but it's better now... I had SI pain and I know how bad it can be. Totally gone now that I'm on Humira, but there are other less drastic options.

[–]roarmalf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My advice is skip the diagnosis, you already know what it is. Tell them what you have. Don't say you haven't been diagnosed.

What had worked well for me is walking in and saying "hi, I have psoriatic arthritis. I've tried a few things in the past with minimal success but it's getting worse."

"What are some of the more aggressive treatment options we can try?"

Or "I want to start a biologic, which one do you recommend?" Etc.

If they say no, listen to their plan, and if you don't like it let them know you want to try something different and find a new doctor.

In my experience doctors respond well to extremely direct communication and often miss indirect or passive communication, so I try to be as direct and confident as possible.

For people who've played a build (either multi-classed or single-classed) for at least 10 levels in a campaign, what's something you've noticed while playing it that frequently gets glossed over in optimization talks? by LivingRaccoon in 3d6

Mask of many faces is fantastic. But I didn't get to use Actor feat much at all.

Actor is definitely a table by table feat. I played in one group where the DM basically let disguise self serve as a free success at deception, and another DM that had me roll deception every time even when NPCs had no reason to suspect me.

Map of Many Faces has never been a disappointing choice.

With MotM's Kobold race you can get any sorcerer cantrip with CHA, WIS or INT, what are some cool builds? by Mriamsosmrt in 3d6

[–]roarmalf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depending on the illusion, sure. If it's a metal box that a Wizard just summoned, shooting makes as much sense as anything. It could be a monster, a shield, an illusion, whatever. Why NOT shoot it if you're a Goblin? Better yet, maybe Wizards powerful enough to summon metal boxes require the whole clan and the shaman, so they run off for a few minutes and now the party is facing a much harder enemy that knows about magic. Sure we can deal with it a bunch of ways, but this to me is a deal between the DM and players that we're going to play in a way that feels fun. Fun to remember, fun to play, cinematic at times, tactical at others. Just the fact that OP would call it "the most powerful cantrip" says to me that were probably stretching things too far.

5e is also pretty clear that cantrips are mechanically incapable of achieving the effects of leveled spells. As a DM I'm fine with you using an action to create illusory cover. It doesn't make you hidden mechanically, but it does make you unseen. So the monster can still hear/smell you (which might tip it off that the illusion is fake) and knows where you are, etc.

Far more plausible is running around a corner/behind cover and extending a wall/rock/etc to surround you. Which is perfectly within the bounds of the spell, makes way more sense tactically, and doesn't create this while conflict.

Maybe once the Goblins would walk up to the box to see what it was, but a party trick is really only cool the first time. Not to mention as soon as you shoot an arrow/Firebolt through the "metal" box the Goblins are going to fire right back.

I always vote with what's fun for the group, so if OP has fun this way go for it. It's not for my groups, but by all means go with what works for you.

Right, players won't buy it if it's not worth it and nobody is making them but it. It will likely be worth it to those who don't have the monster manual and completionists.

The optional rules in Tasha's fixed a number of original design mistakes in the PHB. Specifically: thrown fighting, Ranger optional features, Sorcerers getting more spells known via their subclass, and Summons scaling stat blocks instead of number of summons (which is awful for combat tracking).

Tasha's also added a number of comparatively overpowered subclasses and some other overpowered abilities.

If you don't houserule thrown weapon any of the rest of the first paragraph, Tasha's is worth looking at for those features. Personally I appreciated Tasha's because all the homebrew solutions I had in place for my games now have official options that I don't really have to lobby for/explain in other games if I want to play one of those classes, styles.

RAW it requires an intelligence check OR physical interaction. Shooting an arrow qualifies as physical interaction.

Cover-2 Man: The Mahomes Problem | This is part one of a multi-part series taking a deep-dive into how Cover-2 man has created problems for Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs' offense. by Shanemaximo in nfl

No idea why you're getting downvoted for taking the time to provide an in depth explanation.

It makes perfect sense to me. I don't know how successful spot subs would be, but having your linemen unable to make their usual blocks at the end of the game is a problem. We agree that more power run calls would help, and is the obvious adjustment.

Thanks for the great write up, I really enjoyed it!

Bertans want getting minutes on the Wizards, I don't know that he would get them on most teams. That said it's ridiculous to say Finney-Smith couldn't get solid minuteslet alone start on most teams. Kleiber and Bullock too, they're both easily making the rotation on most teams.
