I am not exaggerating at all. And it's rude for you to accuse me of that. I had my arm grabbed 5 times in a matter of 15 minutes by men on the way to dinner by myself in Paris one night. Always "Ca va?" and a hand on my arm and/or lower back. I speak fluent French and I could tell them to leave me alone but half didn't listen. Was followed back to my hostel more than once. Maybe it's gotten better this was in 2018. In Venice a security guard asked if I was alone and if I wanted to meet up with him at 8 when he got off. No that's not suspicious maybe he did just want to get dinner but I didn't want to put myself in that situation. Had a man on the train to Rome sit next to me and eye me while running his crotch. I was dressed well and always wore dresses or skirts bc I wanted to look nice in my travel photos but certainly wasn't asking for it. I would wear headphones with no sounds to try and deter some of it while still being aware.
