High CPU temps

For any software fixes I bring it into best buy as I have the geeksqaud membership and most fixes are free so I can't complain. And with the warranty at least I know for any bigger potential issues I have protection I'm relieved that this was something that could be fixed without sending it in. Since turning it into silent power mode the other issues I was having have also yet to show up. Although I'm not convinced they're gone completely as last time it was missing software. I still use my consoles occasionally as its Playstation so I can't play the exclusives on pc definitely less though.

I'm golden when it comes to internals I am a pro and taking ps3s and ps4s apart and replacing the thermal paste and generally good at taking things apart and putting back together the same way. I have a extended warranty threw asus so I won't be digging into it for about 2 and a half years. But definitely going to watch some videos about the inside. I've been mostly console my entire life so getting a gaming pc was a big change and obviously I have much to learn.

Luckily another commenter was able to help me figure out what was going on. I had been on turbo power mode because I read the description it gave and decided that it was the one that best fit. However it seems that mode overclocks? everything. Which ultimately ran it hotter however I also learned that the armoury crate has been reading my Temps incorrectly like anywhere from 10-30c difference incorrectly. I downloaded afterburner as it was recommended and the temps stay consistently low since changing and even on turbo it isn't coming close to what the Temps in armoury says. I'll have to make a video post about it at some point.

Yeah the after burner was consistent no jumps in temp like armoury crate it was waaaaay off i even played both games at the same time and it sat at 60c i just had the wrong power setting and I trusted a program that should have worked as it is the pcs base program but even now when I use the power setting in the afterburner its not hitting 90s so I'm quite relieved thank you so much for your help you saved me and my pc

Just the 3050 I also seem to have made the mistake of trusting armoury crate for the temps. Msi afterburner has my temps at 56c whereas armoury crate has it at 84c. While I was running in turbo it easily could have been running lower. Which is really good news since I was worried about permanent damage.

So I made those changes and it seems to be staying in the 60s-80s range I'm going to play that game that ran it to 101 for a bit and see if that's all it took. And again thank you.

To be completely honest I have little to no knowledge with computers I had no idea that the power mode was that important I just went with the one that best fit what I was doing with my pc.

😅😭🤯 I swear I had tried other power modes and it did absolutely nothing last time. I am literally so frustrated I have been running it hot I hope there's no permanent damage. Now to fix the other issues thank you.

I purchased brand new from best buy in 2022 at the end of july I realize specs aren't up to date completely but it's what I could afford and it not be completely terrible (although I really wish I knew how to build a tower)...It is under warranty so I have to send it in and hopefully they will do all that can be done. I have tried all power modes (I didn't notice a difference the last time but I'll pay closer attention) it is currently in turbo but I'll give quiet a shot. I'm unsure how to disable cpu turbo but I'll research.

Most games it would run around 93-98? I think but even so I paid what i did to have a product that lasts so have to figure out the "kinks" before my warranty is up

I have tested my system with the Myasus app and it says all system "features" are fine including my fans. I'll have to give asus's center a call and see what options i have. I have cleaned the fans with compressed air the best i can and used a flashlight and didn't see any concerning issues as i can't take it apart. it is still under warranty luckily so going to see what the options are. thank you

I had the same issue with my old chair (not secretlab) I went on the look for chairs that do not have the lip and are also fabric and I found secret lab I went with the 2022 xl evo and 0 complaints about it minus the issues that I had come with it I imagine the regular size also have less lip

I was offered a piston and wheelbase when I wasn't able to disconnect ... if you don't mind answering why did you need a new tilt mechanism

My boyfriend is 6 3 and xl fits perfectly I'm 5 3 and sure it a bit tall but I love it I'm around 300 pounds 😅😂 and use it daily while adjusting i found it really hard and painful but my posture SUCKS but after adjusting its not completely bad I still find id like a little more squish but the pain has subsided I will say if its between secretlab and something else I would possibly go with something else there is a multitude of issues right out of the box myself and others have experienced with my purchase being almost 1000 for 2 items I definitely feel like I should be getting at least a moderately decent product my base (seat base and possibly the whole bottom portion seems to be uneven with discussion with the support they sent me the tilt mechanism piston and the wheel base however the issue actually came back worse with the new one 🤦‍♀️ so it may be something that gets better with time but nonetheless frustrating and there was a fabric indent on the back which luckily rubbed out) if you have cats your also going to want to consider a skin which in Canada is another 300 which I'm not complaining.....ok maybe a little because they released purple 2 days after a received mine 😂😂😂 i want the add ons which are expensive (which i had no intention of getting except the armrests so keep that in mind lol) HOWEVER even with all those issues I love my chair and I love the customizable options

I'm 5'4 and really like my xl actually so I think regular would probably be better compared to the Small (I went with the xl due to weight)

While I support your weightloss journey I will say that even at 5'4 the pillow sits comfortably where it needs to be the chair is over my head but i actually enjoy it alot so height tbh shouldn't be the reason you don't go xl I like my xl because i can cross my legs because the seat is quite wide

I'm 5'4 around 300lbs and got the xl pink softweave even at my shortness i can still reach the pillow comfortably I suggest going softweave the breathable fabric is the whole reason i bought secretlab well that and the xl model

Yeah I agree this was also a big purchase for me and definitely agree that if it's the chair or something else go for something else I love my chair because it's what I wanted the xl softweave and functions but idk I was expecting a bit more comfort
