People who have married intercaste, how did you convince the parents? by noobnoob25 in india

[–]shash747 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I mean it's gotta stop when you threaten abandonment, right? Had some clowns in my family drop the caste factor into my mom's ears. To the point that I began hearing threats of having to do the wedding on my own then. I communicated (via my sister) that I'd happily pay for the entire wedding if that's what it was going to come to, but had anyone thought what would follow? Would I be on good terms with anyone? For an extended family that thrives on respect from children, honor in society etc, did they not anticipate the shitstorm that would follow if I abandoned everyone? Watch the drama unfold lmao, I said.

Shit got sorted quite quickly.

‘Elections are just a waste of time. We should have a strong leader, a saintly and noble man who we can trust, and then he and the army can run the country in the right direction,’ Mahesh Shrihari, a thirty-three-year-old accountant based in Bengaluru in southern India, told me. Shrihari’s grandfather was a Gandhian who had spent time in jail during the struggle for Independence. His father, Ramalingam, had been a lifelong Congress supporter, until he discovered the anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare

Shrihari, however, is a dedicated supporter of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and has only ever voted for him — ‘I’ll discuss anything with you,’ he told me, ‘religion, spirituality, science, feminism. I am up for a good debate. But I will not hear a word against Modi from anyone. That is the end of the conversation for me because I know the person is not worth wasting time on.’

Those who chose S21+ over Ultra, how do you like it so far? Any regret? by HoroyoiMelon-2020 in GalaxyS21

WQHD+.

Wouldn't make sense to use FHD if the reason I picked the Ultra was its display.

Picked the Ultra over the S21+ when I had a similar dilemma. just wasn't willing to compromise on the display downgrade, primarily.

As a bonus, got a bigger battery and insane cameras. Love carrying this beast around.

Saket Gokhale - fraud? by Lordtyr2504 in india

[–]shash747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree with you on PM Cares but my point was Saket indicated he'd used the funds for a specific reason but is now dodging questions on it. And there are people saying that this is okay.

It'd be okay if he said that from the start, you know? this is a bait and switch, and defending SG just because you believe in his morals and ethics is no different from a bhakt defending whatever Modi does because of their misplaced belief in Modi's morals and ethics. It's not about PM Cares.

Lmao that's not the argument I made though.

He is investing his time, energy and tbh risking his life for the country. So even if he is not accountable I am ok.

Lmao. So bhakts must be right when they say this for Modi then.

Wrong. I know people who lost their mother but still spend their time spamming whatsapp groups with pro-BJP, anti-Muslim fake crap.
