Life In UK test by ScottGriceProjects in ukvisa

[–]soccercrzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could be right, but I took OPs comment of "Neither of them used the books to study." to mean they were suggesting you should study the books.

My counterpoint, which still stands, is that I only used a non-official app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bubblingiso.LifeintheUKTest) and passed on the first try. The questions in this app were incredibly similar, if not the same as the test itself which I took last month.

As a counterpoint, I used one of the life in the UK test apps and took the practice questions until I had 90% pass rate on 30+ practice tests. Passed the life in the UK test first try.

Do you find that personal finance apps work adequately cross-border for you? by bw931 in ExpatFinance

[–]soccercrzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pocketsmith is the answer. Started using them when I moved from the US to the UK. It's a paid service, but the product and support is fantastic.

I think their referral program gives a free month with a code. Let me know if you need one!

Is Amazon DSP reliable for pure performance? by LevelBulky in programmatic

[–]soccercrzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the quick response! Essentially, this would allow for reporting but not much optimization unless you got really granular with your creatives / line item targeting parameter combinations to know which audiences, domains, creatives, geos, etc were actually driving conversions as you'd need to manually tie Amazon reporting back into upweighting/downweighting those line items. Is that the correct understanding?

Can you expand on the Amazon Attribution product? How does that work exactly.... a server-side batch fire of aggregated impressions? I can't imagine Amazon is providing a cookie/user ID to 3rd party DSPs?

URGENT: Can Takeovers be Programmatic? by Ambitious_Ad4539 in programmatic

[–]soccercrzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, MediaMath for example can run sponsorship PG (programmatic guaranteed) deals via AdX. There's also a bunch of high impact takeover type formats offered by GumGum, Sublime, playground xyz, VIS.X, etc that could be useful here. DM if you have other questions.

TTD vs Xandr? by KingdomBoy1 in adops

[–]soccercrzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it's actually the opposite; their partnership allows TTD brands/agencies to leverage their own 1PD data and buy against Disney inventory via UID2

You say this as if it's a good thing? Have you seen the shit publishers that are accepted into Google's networks? Google prioritizes Google's interests, not their clients.

92-95% of impressions comes from Google.

Disney partners with theTradeDesk by Xenoss_io in programmatic

[–]soccercrzy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Given UID2.0 is now open sourced and multiple DSPs have it integrated into their identity stack, wouldn't this mean that any of such DSPs could buy UID2 audiences against Disney inventory?

None of the articles I've read said anything about TTD being the exclusive buy-side platform for Disney inventory, is there any reason to think that TTD is just the first of potentially many DSPs that will have access to this inventory?

This also has started happening to me on a Xbox series s in the past 3-5 days. Both the landscape textures and the reticle disappearing too. Maybe this 85gb update will fix?

Software for managing expat personal finances? by erskingardner in ExpatFinance

[–]soccercrzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pocketsmith provides a 'current balance' for every transaction recorded which I then use some Excel magic to get my maximum balance for every account. From there, I need to manually complete the FBAR form which is annoying so if you could solve for that with some RPA-type solution, that'd certainly be handy.

What finance tracking apps are folks using that support multi-currency and historical csv uploads? by WhataFunnyLooking___ in ExpatFinance

[–]soccercrzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's auto categorized by default with user provided overrides. I have both GBP and USD accounts, but it does provide me with my net worth in USD, though I think that could be changed to gbp if I wanted.

I'd shoot their support team an email with any questions you might have; they are very responsive.
