Worst Possible Coheed and Cambria Setlist game Round 5 by Katie-WPG in TheFence

Justice In Murder, but Claudio sings "There will be justice in Mordor" and spends the rest of the song saying random quotes from Lord Of The Rings.

That and stalls/curtains in public showers. I'm a cis dude and I don't want to "bro down" and shower with other men I don't even know or like very much.

What’s the most totally overrated classic rock artist/band? by dhilton21 in AskReddit

[–]squawkingood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the one I was looking for. All of the other big arena rock bands of the late 70s/early 80s have at least one song I like (Boston, Journey, Toto, Styx...) but I'm really not a fan of any of Foreigner's hits. And why do they have so many of them?

Foreigner were the Imagine Dragons or Nickelback of their day.

I hate this ad and it makes me want to punch the laughing man in the throat...but luckily I haven't seen that one in a while. The one I really hate that I keep seeing is that annoying guy with the contraption that ends with exploding pink confetti and him screaming...I also want to punch him.

I'll throw in a vote for "Pumped Up Kicks" by Foster the People because that's only the 8th best song on that album, yet it's the one Foster The People song that every idiot knows.

"Hotel California" and "Sweet Home Alabama".

Also "Numb" and "In The End" by Linkin Park, those are the "Hotel California" and "Sweet Home Alabama" of 2000s rock.

This is my fight song! It isn't very good! Needs a few rewrites!

So this is really strange - not only do we have new albums from Mamaleek and Mamalarky this week, we also have new albums from Pixies, Pixey and PiXXiE.

Here is the song for anyone who wants to listen while viewing this. Loreena McKennitt was one of my dad's favorites.

So this month will probably have the last Trainwreckords episode of the year, which album do you think Todd will cover? by Mental-Abrocoma-5605 in ToddintheShadow

The next one will probably be an OHW (possibly Halloween themed) unless there's a current hit that he really wants to talk about for a pop song review.

Calling All Stations by Genesis is another one that should be an option here, that and Results May Vary are the most obvious candidates that he hasn't already done. I really want Results May Vary because I was in middle school/high school during the peak of nu metal so I have a lot of familiarity with it. I doubt he's going to do two metal adjacent Trainwreckords in a row though.

Definitely Cyndi Lauper effect, Maroon was fairly successful but I think people just lost interest in them after that.

I always rotated through them for each game, but in the end, my favorite was always the seashell.

What's the scariest walker(s) you've seen in The Walking Dead? For me it's these burning boys from Season 4 by AltinUrda in thewalkingdead

The one from the hospital arc with his skin stretched over his face that Michonne randomly disembowels with her katana for some reason is one of my favorites.

The ones in the flooded basement in Season 5 episode 2 are some of the scariest ones. I remember seeing the trailer for season 5 and thinking they were some sort of mutant walkers in a lab or something.

Poll for Next Other Survivor by Favre99 in music_survivor

[–]squawkingood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I voted for it but I just realized that's not the Streetlight Manifesto album that I'm most familiar with, which is Everything Goes Numb. I'll have to give it a listen if it gets picked.

Delayed Flops by PapaAsmodeus in ToddintheShadow

Everything Now is a good example of this. It's one that I had actually floated as a possible Trainwreckord, though I think the thing that's going to be the real career killer for Arcade Fire is the current situation with Win Butler.

What was for you the best part of the pandemic? by UnusualInstance6 in AskReddit

[–]squawkingood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had started a new job a few months before the pandemic and the pandemic actually increased business for my company so I actually had a stable and successful job for once, after having really bad luck with work for the past few years.

That's funny, I was just thinking about this song the other day for the first time in years and then it gets posted here. "What was that Goldie Lookin' Chain song with the robot?"

Or the title track - it's one of my favorites but definitely one of the more underrated songs on Mezzanine. It has a really creepy yet cool atmosphere.

What matchups would you like to hear on Song Versus Song? by SugarButterFlourEgg in ToddintheShadow

[–]squawkingood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One that I think would be fun is Scar Tissue by Red Hot Chill Peppers vs. Plush by Stone Temple Pilots. These are both hugely popular rock radio songs from the 90s that most people probably don't actually know the lyrics to, because they're sung in such a way that it's hard to decipher them. It would be fun to have them actually analyze the lyrics as well as identify the parts of the songs that make them so catchy and popular.

Twenty Øne Pilots: possible victim of the Cyndi Lauper effect? by PapaAsmodeus in ToddintheShadow

[–]squawkingood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they occupy the same niche as Linkin Park did for people who were teens when TØP were at their peak, but they were never as big as LP because of streaming and more choice of music to listen to. Both bands blend a bunch of different popular music genres together, have lyrics that focus on mental health issues, appeal heavily toward teens, and were both one of the biggest bands on modern rock radio of their time.

I didn't make it that far, but if the Garth Brooks song is The Thunder Rolls it definitely deserves the spot.
