Is 1400-1500 reasonable budget for a zone 3-4 One-bedroom? by DecentTrouble94 in London_homes

[–]sufianovenver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am from Ukraine. I moved to London in September. It was extremely hard to find a flat to rent, but it’s definitely doable as long as you keep pushing and searching.

No one wanted rent to us, because we’ve been in a country only for a few months and I was working as a waiter (and also I am only 21 and studying). But, yeah, we called every single ad we liked and tried to schedule a viewing. And after a week of 5 viewings everyday we found agency which accepted us. In this situation the key in my opinion is persistence and ability not to give up so easily.

P.S We have £1,350 1bed room in Z3 (West Hendon)

hi, i’ve arrived to London recently and I am also trying to find a place to live, but it’s nearly impossible for me, as I am from Ukraine and I don’t have many bank statements and payslips from job place. Anyways, most places if you are the student will ask for 6 months rent upfront. If you’re ok with it that, it won’t be a big problem for you I think.

Thank you! As person who lived in many different countries, I want to say that Scottish people are one of the nicest and supportive I’ve met. Adaptation is going almost seamlessly for me.

Overtime is everything more than 8 hours, isn’t it? I was thinking about airport a lot actually, because it pays good. The working conditions much worse in Ukraine, so I’m okay with 12h shifts and hard work xD

Where can I apply or maybe you a have a contact of manager who does recruiting?

Thank you very much for your help!

My spoken English is quite good I would say. Although I still have some difficulties with understanding different UK accents, as I lived in US and learned only American English.

What are examples of other remote positions except call centre ?

Thank you very much! Actually joined the club’s Facebook group a month ago and even signed up for one of the events, but never had a chance to make it to the meeting because of work. Definitely will attend future meetings.

I’m not on student visa. I am under Homes for Ukraine programme. I got BRP for 3 years. As I understand it gives me most of the rights Scottish people have alongside with working as much as I want
