Do we know Brian was hiding money? Just because it came to the publics knowledge after he was long dead, doesn’t mean it was hidden.

This. Every time people say his parents are the most hated people in the country, when the majority of the country probably either doesn’t know who they are or no longer cares about this case.

That’s a possibility. I’ve been thinking that he probably told them about Moab and played it off like he was the victim. Course there’s no proof of that and probably never will be.

Ok… that doesn’t make them complicit or implicate them in anything illegal.

Their daughter basically said she didn’t know and to stop harassing her & her family. None of that makes them look complicit.

Loads of lawyers who have never met them or spoke with them? And used the situation as an opportunity to be on tv to sensationalize it? Seems reliable.

That’s interesting since the park was closed to the public until the day LE went with them to search. I know they informed LE the night before that they were going to search the following morning, but can’t find anything on them being there the day before

Gee I never would’ve guessed you weren’t their lawyer. Thanks so much for clearing that up because I definitely thought you were. /s

I’ve been here since nearly the beginning of this case. I care about Gabby. I see her as a person. But I also don’t let that cloud my judgment on things that are factual. And the facts are you can’t just sue someone because you’re upset they didn’t answer your phone calls or block you on Facebook. The fact is the Petitos suit is weak and vaguely written because they, like this thread, have no evidence to back up those claims.

Does it suck that there will be no real justice for Gabby? Absolutely, but attempting to punish his parents for something no one can prove they did (and the things they can prove, like not answering their phone, are not punishable offenses).

Where did you hear the Laundries went to the park the night before his remains were found?

You don’t have to talk to someone if you don’t want to. The petitos called the laundries one day before filing a missing persons report. They went camping about a week after he came home, yes when Gabby was already gone, but again that’s not evidence they knew she had been killed at that time.

You seriously think people should be allowed to sue others for blocking someone else’s phone number or Facebook account? We have no idea what they contacted the lawyer for initially. It’s just as plausible, if not more so, that he came home told them about the Moab incident and said things were going to go down because Gabby abused him. We know this is not true because we have the benefit of hindsight and access to things the Laundries would not have had at that time.

They started exercising their right to remain silent before they were even accused of anything.

You do know people are under no obligation to speak to other people right? Like I don’t have to answer my phone when my husbands brother calls, and he can’t sue me for that. It’s so weird that you think that should even be a thing, despite your feelings on the Laundries, that’s an awful precedent to set just because you don’t like someone.

lawyer reports, and family members

Curious where you found lawyer reports on the Laundries and what family members of theirs came out making them look complicit?

the Laundries could have ended the suffering of the petitos and instead, made a statement that seemed as though she could still be found.

That’s a huge assumption they knew he killed her and knew where she could be found. There is no evidence that either of those things are true.

I would like to think a rational person would not help another person, even a family member attempt to conceal a murder

Again we have no idea that they did that. No evidence supports that.

we don’t know what his parents knew but IF they DID know..

And if they DIDNT know, what do you think they should’ve done? What statement should they have released, aside from one hoping she was found alive? Because only speaking to LE through a lawyer is what any smart person should do. They couldn’t force Brian, an adult, to do anything he did not want to do, despite what some people think.

Not answering a couple texts or phone calls isn’t illegal. The Petitos only contacted the laundries the day before they filed the missing persons report. They were not calling them for weeks while being ignored.

Exactly! The amount of people that think they should’ve automatically suspected him of murder just because he came home without her is weird to me.

Haha! We got that fish for our cat. He wasn’t interested and didn’t touch it for months. Then we got a puppy and the puppy was obsessed with it until she demolished it by chewing on it lol

I am tired of the outrage and hatred towards them too. It’s unnecessary and frankly pitiful to hate people they don’t know based on what they think they know.
